Checkers Foods Franschhoek

Am in the store, they don't have forks nor spoons. Nobody told me this. When a customer buys food that I should have been told. I ask to return everything that I have bought cause there is woolies down the road its not like you are the only shop in this small town. What I find so intriguing is the attune I get and no apology foe this inconvenience and so unprofessional. Even the store manager had attitude and spoke Afrikaans to the other colleagues. Then she gives me the things foe free. I did not go for free bees I went to buy! Am disgusted, cause am black maybe I will take the free food. No cc, I will go buy from the Woolies just down the road

A while ago we bought chicken kebabs which were smelling of fish. Yesterday fresh rolls definitely not fresh. Please check on your quality, you have more employees on the floor than customers.

We were so excited when checkers franschhoek opened and were really impressed. The deli had amazing food and we often bought however the standard has dramatically dropped. 2 months ago, we bought rice and even the cashier said “sir I don’t think the rice smells right” which I appreciated. We thought one mistake, not a big deal. Then a month ago we tried again and bought hake and rice and once we got home, we had to discard it bec the hake was mush (which was previously great) and the rice had an awful smell again - it was not edible! (I have a picture if anyone requests) Then yesterday at 5 o clock (check in store cameras if interested) - I went to get coney rolls bec you can’t make a mistake with coney rolls (so I thought), there were 6/7 foreign visitors as franschhoek is a big tourist destination, there was a tall gentleman in front of me and I thought he was waiting for his order, after 5 minutes I asked him have you ordered and I think he said in French that no one is helping him and he threw his arms up and left. I then eventually got my coney rolls, when I got home and opened the bag, the coney rolls were a terrible quality - dry and didn’t look like they were cooked properly! V disappointing service - I will not be going be going back to checkers.

That one star is for your bacon and brie panini.I was standing in line, waiting to order, started speaking to the lady that is suppose to help me, her friends or collegues stood next to me started joking with her, she completely ignored me and the other people waiting like decent human beings and went on to help all of her friends. Taking her sweet time laughing and joking. When all of her friends were done she turned to me and looked so annoyed that she had to help me I almost apologized. Shame on you.

I have supported this Checkers a few times now and it has happened 3-4 times where I have bought something just to find it had already expired or even had mould on it. I have bought bread there two times and both times the product had mould on it.

We received the poorest service at Checkers Franschhoek, the staff and especially managers are unprofessional. They lack training in customer service...My husband and I brought two bottles of bubbly at their liquor shop which was supposed" to be closed at 6PM but was still wide open

This place is very nice. The staffs are nice the foods look fancy and everything. Can't tell why people are posting a one star because this is a great place.

Don't be fooled by the beautiful architecture and layout. Since being back in Franschhoek I have not had a single good experience here.1) The meat display fridge IS STILL BROKEN (with meat inside!!!) and has been for at least 3 months. Maybe the managers need less staff walking around chewing their nails and send a few for health and safety training and join them while they're at it!2) I ordered 1/2kg yellow rice and noticed the rice didn't look good at all. Having all the chef's" and servers asking me to taste it as non of them could tell me when it was made! They all refused to taste it themselves!3) Skipping the warm meat cabinet and the depleted takeaway area I then took home 2x couscous salads... When I got home I opened the container and was surprised by basil leaves that were 100% rotten. I took it back and reported it to the cashiersClose the place down and open a bigger Woolworths in its place.Pathetic"

Inside was clean and nice and there were many choices, however it must be the worst run checkers I’ve ever been in. Everywhere I looked there were checkers staff and what seemed to be managers. Each till had 2-3 staff. I waited so long at the deli that the customer in front of me left before buying anything. All three staff members at the deli stood around the scale while customers waited helpless until leaving rather than purchasing anything
