An absolute gem! Damascus is one of our favorite middle eastern restaurants in Cape Town. We’ve probably been there about 10 times and have had a great experience each term. Amazing food and service always. The Beef Shaqaf is always a must for us

Super lovely visit. The food was delicious, the service was lovely, our server Gauthier was very informed and took pleasure in us sending our compliments to the kitchen. The runners were also very good!! The food was truly so divine, a place that I would definitely go to again. It’s nice and quiet in the front section and very clean and stylish, so it has a relaxed atmosphere. The waiting staff, managers and owner came to the table to greet us, made sure we enjoyed our time and explained how they carefully prepare each meal with love. You could taste it.

Amazing everything! The flavoured coffee was amazing, the food was super tasty. I can't handle spicy food, so I could enjoy the food because the spices were exactly just to taste, not to burn. But if you enjoy hot food, don't be sad. They give two types of spicy sources and peppers as well. Then everyone is happy. The environment with nice music, not loud. And the service: super top! We will come back for sure!

Wow.... What can I say, from the moment we walked in the door to the moment we left the service and attention we received was 1st class. The drinks are exotic and very tasty, the food just blew me away, I had the lamb chops, soft, tender and just grilled to perfection, melted in my mouth. The waiter was very attentive and management always checking up to see if everything was to our satisfaction. A wonderful, beautiful decorated and relaxed place to have your meal. 10 out of 10

The wait time was long, but in all fairness, we had no reservation. Upon being seated and before getting the menus, we were told we had 2 hours to enjoy the meal. These were the only negatives. The meal was delicious, and the service was excellent. The atmosphere was warm and homely. The mural on the wall of the Umayyad mosque in Damascus is beautiful.

Green Damascus is the best so far in town. With a touch of Syrian dishes, the staff is diverse and too attentive and professional to the customers needs. The food was amazing. Be sure to also try out their milk shakes, too lovely. Also, I didn't have a reservation and they were able to get a table for me on Eid day which is very busy. I am surely coming back to this place. Its one of a kind.

Amazing food and service, my husband and I were in Cape Town for 3 days and went here for dinner 2 of the days it was that good. Food is phenomenal. I recommend the mixed grill and lamb chops, the lamb shank was also great. Very yummy baklava and amazing Syrian tea as well, we had multiple rounds of it. All the servers were so nice and helpful, always there to help with anything. The owner even came to talk to us to make sure we were having a good time.Also the whole place was VERY clean. Bathrooms are spotless. Really pleasant environment. It was a great experience 10/10 will be back!

Came here to dine after seeing their awesome reviews online. Absolutely fantastic and delicious food. The lamb chops were succulent and juicy and the Glow fresh juice was awesome. Thank u for a great experience. Family run business and you can tell they put a lot of effort to enhance the customer experience for everybody

Hubby and I had an impromptu date night at Damascus a couple of weeks ago. We walked in without a reservation and they happily obliged. The restaurant got nice and busy for a weeknight which is definitely a good sign. The management team were so hospitable and really took time to speak to patrons so you immediately feel welcome and at home. The servers are very knowledgeable and was able to make some menu recommendations. We loved the food but probably ordered way too much because we couldn't even manage dessert which I was looking forward to. We had two starters and mains which was very delicious. The food is flavorful but not spicy. We also enjoyed the Syrian tea and coffee.
