Ecological park

Lovely stay! True authentic bush experience with open fencing and off the grid. The game drive guides are incredibly equipped with deep knowledge of the park and always delivered with amazing sightings. We bonded well with the other guests as it is a small lodge and you get a chance to meet over meals and sundowners. Would highly recommend :)

What a magical experience. To walk with cheetahs! A simply unheard of encounter. A personalized stay, where people greet you by name, in the most beautiful environment. The lodge is designed for long lazy afternoons on the verandah, and the meals served were delicious. We looked forward to afternoon tea every day, in anticipation of what had been freshly baked. The suite we were in was luxuriously spacious. We've never been treated so specially at any establishment visited - it was the epitome of a truly memorable stay.

Don’t second guess booking a vacay at this incredible place! I just stayed for three nights with friends and it flew by. Obviously the safaris were an absolutely incredible experience, no doubt! But the lodge was just as amazing! Great food, great rooms, just perfection!I have to give a huge shoutout to the staff who were also just phenomenal! Monika was extremely gracious, kind, and attentive one morning I wasn’t feeling well. Next thing I knew multiple staff members were making sure I felt better since I missed the morning ride! I’m so thankful for how geniune and welcoming everyone was, especially Monika! She deserves all the gold stars, chocolates, vacation days etc!!I’m telling you! If you’re still reading this review you best get on your way to booking your stay! Truly an unforgettable experience!!

One of the best eco-friendly architects you'll find.

What a beautiful setting. One can feel the stress dissipating immediately. The views are stunning. Beds are very comfy. Love, love that the dogs and cats interact so easily and had 2 cats cuddling overnight ❤️. Love that it's an eco farm. Place to go if your soul needs a rest.Word of advice, don't arrive after dark and if there is rain wear shoes that handle very slippery conditions. Make sure you have good lighting to navigate at night. Take a lighter or matches for the parafin lanterns in the rooms.

Terra Khaya is set in a beautiful forest and is a unique experience. The staff are friendly and helpful and there is a lovely communal lounge with a warm fireplace and hot coffee to enjoy on those cold Hogsback days. The creative cabins are built from reclaimed & recycled materials. It's a rustic stay as the cabins don't have electricity, water or ablutions. Ablutions consist of compost toilets, open air hand basins and open air showers. Don't arrive in the dark as this beautiful place doesn't have lit pathways to the cabins. Our arrival experience was a bit hectic as we arrived in the dark and the road to Terra Khaya was muddy & slippery from the rain as was the walkway to our cabin on arrival. If you're prepared for the rustic experience then you will enjoy this magical place. You might even get to bottle feed a hand reared baby goat!

This is a awesome game reserve with lots of exclusivity in the heart of Karoo. If you looking for a great place to unwind and experience nature with luxury Samara is the place to be. The establishment is not to big which make of it a very private experience.

Amazing place to be at. The grass is very well maintained. The only problem is the braai stands are a real life nightmare, it's quite clear, no use putting up a fight here. Sorry about that. Rap runs through my veins. I'll say though, I love the place yo. If you are looking for a quiet and chilled place to take a loved one or loved ones, Botanical is the way! I've said my piece.
