Start of the Berg River Canoe Marathon

We loved every minute of being out on the water with this incredible team it was a great pace and the team were engaging and so knowledgable on all the wildlife and ocean. The rules and instructions were clear and the guide team were with you to support you. We were also blessed with an acrobatic show by the dusky dolphins and the Heaviside dolphins were our trip companions.An amazing morning! 10/10 recommend!

Only canoe club in Pietermaritzburg if I'm not mistaken. Great spot. Host a whole lot of events including the annual Duzi Canoe race from Pietermaritzburg to Durban down the Duzi river

I can't begin to describe how wonderful and amazing my trip with Cape Kayak Adventures was. I was concerned beforehand that I would not be fit enough, but Trace assured me that the style of their kayaks made for easy rowing. Indeed, I did not feel any strain at all. Instead I had a fabulous time. The blessing was that we had a school of dolphins come right up to us, and swim and dance all around us. I could never have imagined getting this close to these magnificent creatures. In fact, I have never been that close to wildlife in their natural habitat, in my life before. Sat down for lunch with my family. After 5 minutes we still were not served. We got up, and walked back to our car with no one even noticing. I should mention that we were the only customers in the restaurant. My first ever 1 star rating but believe it is warranted.

I wish I could have spent more nights here, friendly service, I'd definitely visit again.

Best place to start your canoe adventure.
