Only canoe club in Pietermaritzburg if I'm not mistaken. Great spot. Host a whole lot of events including the annual Duzi Canoe race from Pietermaritzburg to Durban down the Duzi river

The area around the club is so littered and unhygienic that going there is unpleasant. It would be great if the club could be active in finding a solution for the problem.

Despite the duzi being a bit gross this is an amazing spot. To have such access to this type of facility in the middle of city provides easy access to a training venue. It's a relaxing place if that's what you need but big enough to really throw down if you need a work out. Paddlers and rowers alike have enjoyed it for years
