On Monday afternoon, before catching a Taxi to Parow, I went into your store to buy a 500ml Coke. The lady at the cigarettes counter told me to buy the 500ml coke outside, at the Somalians, because she don't have time to get change for a hundred rand. For me as a South African citizen, it was a clap into my face because I am a coloured person.

Advertised open times wrong, I went at 7.30 today and it was still shut. (6am to 7pm)???Not very good quality perishables at all, but all round good prices on basics.

Maitland Shoprite is one of my favorite Shoprite Stores.On entering there are friendly security guards and one of them wears a waist coat which makes me feel special like I'm entering a hotel. Very smart indeed. The staff are always pleasant. The prices are excellent and I've scored so much on cash back points.Level of cleanliness is top class there are no unpleasant fridgen odours and fruit and veg section are alwayswell stocked.I was approached in the long money market line and was efficiently assisted by a staff member and had me helped at a cashier instead. I felt so relieved that a 30 minute wait was reduced to 5 minutes.

Very dirty shop. I don't buy their baked and fried food because there is flies. I went to buy fresh milk and mass the other day, in the fridges there were dead flies. I took photo of them and I am wondering if I can share this photo for the attention of health inspectors?
