This place really crept into our hearts. It is quaint with lots of character. It's the ideal place for a rustic, romantic getaway, or if you are a bass fisherman, you and your mates will enjoy the potential here. (I caught at least one 2+kg and a number of sub 1kg specimens). The owner Ian is very knowledgeable and is keen to share some tips. Black or blue plastic worms and grubs work well. Go deep and crank slowly. Crank bait also worked. There is also a canoe and a small 2 person row boat, should you wish to venture out. Strictly catch and release.The place is well equipped but very basic. Light sleepers may however be bothered by the loudly squeaking floorboards, but for us this just added to the overall vibe.For birders, this is a great spot. We spotted many species even though we are not birders. The best was the awesome sight of a fish eagle grabbing a bass from the water for a sunset dinner - something I have always wanted to see, but just never had the opportunity. Other than that we spotted Ibis, sacred Ibis, cormorants, various other water fowl, kites, stork and even vultures gathering around a dead calf on our way out on a neighboring farm.Forget your cell phone, reception was just about non-existent when we were there. If you want 5 star with all the luxuries, bells and whistles, this place is not for you, but if you want solitude, nature and a comfortable place to relax, it is really a gem.

Place is beautiful and peaceful.Kids facilities are really child friendly and neat.Unfortunately we paid for fishing but did not even have a nibble from 07:30 to 17:00 even with a variety of baits, dips and lures.

Beautiful and tranquil.We loved our stay at Station House Waterside Getaway - quaint cottage , amazing birdlife , peaceful walks and good fishing.

There is to much grass in the water and there's less the nun fish here been 7hrs and only 1 fish.Time to put in more fish.Last year 16 now 1 this place has gone backwards and i do not recommend used all tipe plastic and bait non worked.I will never come back really dont waste your time.BUT the workers are really friendly ill.give them a 5/5

Fishing like no other places!! Just remember to pack a jacket!

Stayed in the main house which was very well appointed and comfortable. Perfect place to chill out and take a break. Dogs welcome too.
