KWIKSPAR OBZ

Lovely convenience store in the heart of OBZ. Neat, clean and staff are usually nice. They have a really good selection of healthy and locally sourced superfood products section in the store. I really appreciate that. Fresh produce could be fresher.

At the center of Obz stands the quick spar on station road. Apart from your normal usual groceries, the quick spar saves the best eat out breakfast in the deli section. You have a wide variety of things to choose from both for people watching weight to your bacon. If you are around the area and looking for affordable breakfast, then obz quickspar is the place to stop by.

The only thing that annoys me about this Kwikspar is the absence of Ostrich. Not the actual live birds. The steak variety. The smaller Spars in general don't do many ready meals, either, and the deli options aren't exhaustive, but given that this is a small store servicing a pretty localized segment of the Obs community, that makes sense so I will take my champagne problemsnto Woolies if I really must eat wildlife.That said, store's clean, well laid out, and has all the basics. I've never had occasion to ask for assistance, so I can't comment on the helpfulness of staff. Surface attention is paid to covid protocols so, if you're concerned, carry your own wipes and sanitizer.Reminder: being a smaller store you won't find a broad range of common items so your favourite chocolates or nescafé may not be available, but you will always find products from these categories. Also not a good option for bulk buying because, given the aforementioned small sector being serviced, some products don't move frequently and may not be the freshest.Plus: 3 bank atms in the immediate vicinity, ample parking space, bottle store opposite.

Bought the Italian style Mince and Pasta only to see mould on my food. But the sell-by date is two days from now. Do you use old food and just replace the label??

I was sold expired medicine. Instead of taking accountability for this they completely denied having sold the medicine. I’m rather disappointed, don’t see myself coming here again. Thank you. Hey owner and manager mistakes happen, it’s how you rectify them…

Pros: Clean, usually not crowded, there is good wine and ready food for sale.Cons: There is one cashier desk (#6) apart from others, that I happen to end at all the time, but they don't have some things: so if I need tobacco, mobile top up or batteries I need to go to another desk and wait or interrupt another customer to get what I need.

I bought yogurts yesterday to find out that they all expired thats not nice and its not the first time experiencing that

Poor customer service at the MyCiti/Lotto till (I don't know the till number but it's the first one near the exit)...The Xhosa speaking woman (wearing a red lipstick) that assisted me today doesn't belong in Customer Services at all!!!!!: I arrived and waited while she was busy fiddling with the money drawer, she didn't acknowledge me. I waited. Eventually she, in an annoyed tone, asked Ufuna nton'?"... Which literally translates to "What do you want?"Eventually someone else came to my assistance

Has improved tremendously since my last review, a wonderful spar these days.

Just had the most horrible experience at the Spar. Was treated absolutely disgustingly by the Spar owner/manager. Would never go back there again. Absolutely disgraceful
