Riverside Retirement Village

It's beautiful with great scenery and the staff is friendly but not well trained. They'd promise dinner will start at 19h00 and only serve it at 20h00. There's lack of coordination in the dining area when there are more people. But they will always apologize with smiles.

Service was excellent. Staff were friendly, warm and helpful. Rooms were set up with Netflix which was a great modern touch. Perhaps just a bit more attention to detail and organisation needed, but staff were always ready to assist with any request.

Beautiful space, I enjoyed the Shanti Yoga Festival in the world of dragonflies, butterflies and beautiful trees. Oh and did a few laps in the pool on 5 February 2022. Absolute recommendation from me

My wife and I had our wedding at this venue last month. As much as the event was enjoyable, there are certain things I’d like to point out for anyone wishing to use their services. FIRSTLY, upon reservation of the venue, one price was “all inclusively” advertised with one price. About 3 months prior to the wedding, we found out that “all inclusive” to Riverside, was actually selective and many things had to be purchased separately. Cool. We were able to compromise here. One thing that was promised to us though was that the wedding planner would be some sort of events manager on the wedding night. Because A LOT of items were not covered by the venue, they were purchased and brought by us.For the most part, the wedding went well. Something that the venue did provide is however was staffing for the event, whom of which had access to all the purchased alcohol as well as MANY other items that we had purchased and brought ourselves. Throughout the evening, we were told by several guests that not only staff members were drinking (1 or 2 were actually drunk) but also some were caught walking AWAY FROM the bar with bottles of alcohol. Considering this and several other items that went missing throughout the evening, we went back to the wedding planner to express our experience. To our dismay, ZERO accountability was taken from them. This is somewhat disappointing considering how much we had spent over and above what we thought we’d spend.

We only spent a weekend here but it was so lovely. Our host was kind, friendly and helpful. The hotel itself is clean, nicely decorated and quite big. It is directly opposite the world of birds so you get to wake up to the sound of birds chirping in the morning. It's peaceful and tranquil. The breakfast was nice too. Super close to all your amenities. Wonderful experience, will definitely come back for another staycation.

What an experience! I had the absolute pleasure of spending 2 weeks at riverside and I cannot think of a better place to relax and unwind. Not only are the staff the friendliest group of people but I really feel as if they went out their way to make sure my stay was as comfortable as possible. The lovely resident dogs were a wonderful addition as they greeted me upon arrival with wagging tails! The permanent residence were also wonderful company and despite their old age they were always up for a good time. I would 100% recommend this place for anyway looking for a charming and beautiful getaway from the hustle and bustle of the city.

If you are a nature fanatic like me , you have to visit the tea room. Once inside you forget about the hustle and bustle of the area. Peaceful and serene atmosphere. I simply love the pancakes and would recommend it to anyone. Beautifully kept gardens. I also admired the beautiful interesting sculptures in the garden.

What an absolute treasure and treat. From the moment you walk in, the beautiful setting of this well aged home, its beautiful gardens that has lovingly being tendered and respected, to very well trained and eager dogs greeting their new guests, I was in awe and so pleased to have discovered" this place. You are then treated to a new experience with a most delightful and flamboyant Robert whose high standard of service and excellence

Had a marvelous get together with great cake and tea in beautiful surroundings. Service warm and friendly, with Catherine joining us for a short while. All decided to return soon.

Absolutely amazing hotel!I had the pleasure of staying at Riverside this week and I was totally blown away. The rooms and facilities are extremely luxurious and chic (made us feel like we were royalty)!The pool area was amazing to relax at and the staff were extremely attentive offering us drinks and towels etc.The beds and bedding are of exceptional quality and I can definitely say it was one of the best nights sleep I've ever had.The owner and staff were all very welcoming and friendly and along with all the resident dogs it made you feel like you were part of the family.Lastly the breakfast was absolutely delicious with everything and more that you could want.Thank you for such a wonderful stay I would definitely recommend the establishment.
