Been in the q almost 3hrs for car licence renewal and no movement. I will be lucky to be finished after 4hrs. The staff are just slow.

Worst service I have ever received at any renewal station in South Africa. So when you collect your renewal papers there is no professional to assit you to explain to you exactly what paperwork is required this duty has been passed on to the site security. Then only after a 2 hour wait, you get to the front desk where the person cannot so much as even greet you properly and tell you the paperwork is incorrect. Surely for the rates & taxes we pay your service can sharpen up a bit!

Although they have long queues, they are respectful of elderly and those with injuries or disabilities. They are busy, because they are efficient and friendly.

Well I arrived there about at 13:00 - lines were full. The staff was brilliant especially the security guard, he was on top of everything and was helpful and efficient and he always prioritized the pensioners. That's the down side when you are not a pensioner. They let the pensioners sit in the fast lane, even if you sat there waiting for almost 3 hours. It made me upset but it was reasonable not to fight about it, some pensioners just make you know that they are privileged.Brings your own pen, water and food. The wait is long.

I went to renew my husband's vehicle licence today (20th February 2023) The security personnel were outstandingly professional, friendly and extremely willing to assist. They treated us seniors" with care and consideration - a wonderful experience! Well done!"

We are being bombarded by so much negative news these days.....So, I wish to send a Huge COMPLIMENT!!! to Durbanville Municipality. I just got back from renewing our car licence. They were extremely proffessional, helpful and efficient. They go out of there way to help each and every person arriving there to see how they can assist. The staff/team there including the security personel are amazing.

Usually speedy service, but lines are moving slower in festive periods, that's when my car license is due, so I've noticed this pattern, go early to be out in 2hrs tops.

Used to be a breeze for pensioners, but had to sit for almost 2 hours just to renew license! Why oh why not a counter just for Renewals? Have to wait behind agents with stacks of registrations. Bad bad service!!!

Came at 08:28 on Tue 6 June 2023 and finished at 09:47.Came to register a car.Service is good. The worst part are the people sitting next to you (loud, obnoxious).Make sure to come early and bring entertainment (maybe download an 2 hour worth of YouTube videos and bring earphones. Trust me, the time will fly by.

Three hour queue at car licence renewals then they refused to assist with a change of address (which should be a simple online procedure in my opinion) without an affadavit signed by a Commissioner of Oaths. Manager was rude to myself and both clients in front of me as he was in a bad mood because it was 30 minutes past his home time of 3.30pm....never mind that the members of public had been queuing in the sun for 3 HOURS!
