Melcomn quoted an insurance claim in November, got paid the amount in full from insurance. The system did not work according to him due to our previous cabling.Our previous system was perfect for over 3 or 4 years, never gave us a days trouble, so He asked for extras over and above our claim. This was for our account. . In hindsight it would seem he destroyed the new system. I would assume due to his lack of expertise and knowledge.A few days later the entire system crashed and he blamed it on a new lighting strike.He did not install a lighting protected because it cost an extra R100 or so rand for his account.He then said we should put in a new ceiling trap to accommodate the new cabling and costs from ANOTHER NEW LIGHTING STRIKE.We subsequently we got a quote from real experts and everything he did was incorrect down to the wiring connection of our main gate, the battery keeps loosing battery power.It’s now March and has cost us lots of extra R1000’s, mostly to his call out fees and overpriced materials.It’s an indication of people taking on work they are not qualified to do.It is clearly evident he is not qualified in this field.

Took advantage of having installed before quoting/invoicing and then charged ridiculous amounts charging over double the going rate.

Arrived promtly, work was good and professional.
