I actually don’t know where to begin… all I can say is that this is a sorry excuse for a business.My battle with this company started on the 24th of January (in fact, before that because I was completely ignored before going to social media). They delivered a couch that clearly had multiple defects - of which they have admitted in writing. After reading the multiple complaints on Hello Peter, I truly believe this is not the same couch we viewed in the showroom and this is standard practice for SHF.The first person I dealt with was Cathy Naidoo - Absolutely shocking! Not a care in the world and in fact she laughed at me and said they can fix the couch but it will all be at my cost because the item was bought on sale. Regardless I sent a mail describing the defects with pictures… this was IGNORED until the 8th of February after again going to social media with my complaints.Eventually, we were put in touch with Amanda (last name never provided). I was initially impressed at her empathy, understanding and customer service but wow was I wrong. Amanda wanted to see the couch and asked if they could pick it up and take it to the Johannesburg office to view. I actually never gave permission for this to happen but her driver arrived on Wednesday 9th Feb. I still don’t have my couch to this day on 25th March.When Amanda saw the couch, she agreed with every single one of my concerns (in writing) and said it would be sent to the factory in Howick to get it repaired/recovered. In absolute certainty she promised that this process would never take longer than 2 weeks.This situation has bought me to tears… to this day, I have NOT ONCE received an update/phone call/feedback without literally begging. Amanda does not answer her phone and only communicates on WhatsApp. At some point I just could not deal with Amanda anymore so I asked my partner to deal with this. He wanted a face to face meeting and Amanda said it is not possible as she is based at the Howick office and is in Johannesburg intermittently. I have since been calling the Ferndale branch to ask if Amanda is there and everytime I’ve called, the receptionists confirm she does work at that branch. Unacceptable.I could go on forever but in conclusion, it has been 44 days since my couch was collected - 44 DAYS!!!!!! The last update provided on 3 March after nagging Amanda was that the couch is being recovered but this will take 2 weeks with delivery in the 3rd week. We are now at the end of the 3rd week without any form of feedback/communication.Please do your research before considering buying anything from this business. Read the reviews on social media and specifically Hello Peter. wish I could spread this message to all potential SHF customers… DO NOT SUPPORT THIS BUSINESS!!!!!UPDATE - my couch arrived, a completely different color. I notified Amanda which has been met with sarcastic comments and lying. She’s claiming that she told us the fabric was discontinued which was never ever told to us.SHF…Extraordinary living? Extraordinary lying, poor service and sarcasm.

The Stitching on a couch and occasional chair came apart almost weeks after delivery on a 60k + set.At the time I was assured by salesman Steve that it would be fixed however I should wait a while to observe if there was further damage. ( whatsap msg in my procession ). Forward 10 months later and I approached the company to sort out the faults on the set . They picked it up from my residence and I was emailed 4 weeks be one MITCHELL DAMULA who stated that I was now required to pay a fee of R3000 odd to rectify the fault of the company as this was their cost. This however was not the initial arrangement with Steve and myself. MITCHELL was extremely rude and pompous and with regard to returning emails and telephone calls very incompetent. I had to literally call and email non stop to get any response. I subsequently agreed to the amount after a lot of back and forth . There was a heated conversation in the store where MITCHELL then took it upon himself to retract the repair and simply stated that the company would no longer fix my couch set because of my attitude and various emails and that he was in charge. Therefore even after accepting the quotation to repair my couches and the couches were at their depot for +~ 5 weeks MITCHELL had the audacity to cancel the repair and send my couches back as it was when they picked it up,with no other recourse or offer to diffuse the situation.I am entirely shocked with this companies customer service. The individual calls himself head of customer relations but he is highly incompetent and authoritative.Reviews of this company speaks for itself as I am certainly not the only customer receiving such horrendous and biased treatment. Avoid this company at ALL costs , in a day and age where customer service is paramount, this is a company where it is entirely non- existent!I

I am an Interior Designer and am constantly being let down by SHF .Whats worse is that after they take your money no one seems to be able to problem solve or act like they care. All i'm constantly told is that I am sorry. I pride myself on good service for my clients and SHF makes my company look like fools. I am tired of this and wont be suing them for anything .

Well organized use of space, each bed or couch is set up as 'room' where you have matching coffee tables or cabinets. You don't get confused.

horrible service. Goods were promised to be delivered on 13 December now to only find out it must still be shipped from Durban to Joburg tommorrow and then only can we arrange for it to go to cape town. Horrible attitude from staff. No follow up what so ever everytime promises of getting back to us which never happens. If I had known what a mission it would be to get simple dining chairs I would have never gone the SHF route.

I went to the store on the 26th and the lady at the main reception was very nice and welcoming. In the display area downstairs there were 2 sales assistants who seemed to be standing around at another reception area on the other side, the store was very quiet, I'm assuming this was because it was raining at the time, however the sales people that were there never even glanced at us instead the guy walked past us to what seems like a kitchen, and the lady was staring at her phone. I then went upstairs to see if i could spot some sale items when i didn't, i came back downstairs to find the lady standing there when i enquired about the sale items the lady told me to wait because she was busy with another client (on WhatsApp) then she walked away and never came back again. The service at the store was shocking. I swear to never ever go back again.

The staff are professional, friendly and offer a service unrivaled in the furniture industry by having both intimate knowledge of the products and the relationship built with customers. The range of furniture is something that isn't seen in most of the world let alone South Africa. With this in mind it is a marvel that the settings are changed as often as the seasons to to bring the latest trends into your homes.

First time visiting SHF, blown away by the number of beautifully crafted furnitures on show under the same roof! This is really a hub for inspiration if you are starting a new family or upgrading your state of living alike. From boardroom to living area patio to bedroom and more, SHF have you covered!
