The best hospitality in the Karoo. The horse riding, sunsets and karoo evenings make this a perfect weekend breakaway. Do the horseriding and sunset drinks and snacks.

What an absolute amazing experience fom contacting Celia to enquire about the accommodation to leaving the farm after our stay. Amazing service.The accommodation is rustic and simple exactly what is needed during today's rushed lifestyle. I would highly recommend this accommodation to anyone looking for real relaxation time or a romantic weekend away.

We did not stay on site, but booked a three hour meander on horses from the Kraal right up to the top of the mountain. We were a group of five. Karen took us through some otherwise inaccessible terrain and the will, strength and surefootedness of the local breed of horses was astounding, not to mention the beautiful but harsh landscape. The experience left us exhausted but gave us a wonderful sense of achievement! Karen was a great companion and leader on the ride. Clearly an extremely experienced person with a good amount of knowledge on the plant life and surrounds. After the ride, we chatted to the owner Celia who is an affable lady with a lot of love for the horses and her hometown. This is a must do of you are visiting the area and would like to do something different to hiking.

I can strongly recommend the horse riding it as one of the top tourist activities in Oudtshoorn Klein Karoo region. We were a group of 6 from age 6 to 53. The horses and Eben gave us a fantastic professional and memorable experience!!

As we were leaving Oudtshoorn yesterday I was looking for a wine farm to visit but sadly the local wine farms are closed on a Sunday.I did manage to find @domeindoornkraal which is open and I'm glad I did. Just a few km outside Oudtshoorn on your way to DeRust you will find the awesome farm stall which has its own range of wines.We could sample the wines and really enjoyed the majoor" dessert wine with some ice and lemon peel (never had it this way) as well as the "tickled pink" sparkling wine.They also stock various wines
