Love Boknes lagoon it's the best. We've been coming here for since 2002 or 3 and don't want to go any where else we come from Gauteng, so we travel far for our holiday. It's peaceful and the beach is awesome and Dias cross walk is the best. Fishing is also very good.

Clean beach. Friendly people. Cafe close by for refreshments. You won't get hungry or thirsty. Safe to swim with life guards

Great for kids, dogs, swimming, and bathing. Protected from the west winds. Best to go out of season. And please pick up after your dog.

Come while away the hours on this peaceful beach frequented by the local residents. The lagoon's water is safe and warm and the ocean is just to the other side of the beach. Holidays there are permanent lifeguards on duty and beach activities for the kids over December.Take a walk on the safe, white beach to the historical Diaz-cross 3.5km a bit to the north. Browse the rocks to the south or bring a fishing rod.Beaches are dog friendly.

Boknes Lagoon is a little gem of a beach stretch. Great waves for a bit of body surfing. Take a long walk along the beach for some peace and quiet. Safe parking and a little shop if you are a little hungry. Great spot to bring the kids too as the lagoon water is very shallow. The were many fishermen and so I suppose the fishing is great too on the ocean side.

Beautiful beach and wonderful lagoon for the family. Can get windy, but is still a very good place to spend the day with the family. If you walk to the Dias cross, do it only at low tide
