Virgin Active Gym Cedar Square

The music being played on the speaker during load shedding hours is terrible, has got nothing to do with workout music. Instead of staff playing off their phones, management should make a playlist to play during these hours that are suitable to Virgin Active.

I have been going to this gym for almost 8 years.The recently refurbished the entire gym, but the actual facilities we need and use are in a shocking state.1.Only one weights rack for barbells. This means 5-6 barbells are lying on the floor, usually in front of that rack, making it hard to get to the ones on the rack. This has now been like his for over a year.2. Missing weights. That includes missing barbells and missing dumbells, along with some broken dumbells where you can't see the weight on the dumbell.3. The exercise machines have presets for several DSTV channels. 90% of the time these are all tuned to the same channel (if they are working). What is the point of this feature if you are only going to display a single channel?The staff are pretty good and friendly and the gym is clean, but the owners and/or manager obviously don't care much about the facilities on offer, considering the majority of people who go to Cedar Square are doing weights workouts.Viva Gym is looking more and more attractive.

Best facilities in the area. Love the unisex Sauna and steam room that are facing the pool for swimmers. Gym floor is nice and open. The studio sound and view of Northriding area is fantastic.

Clean and fully rigged yet seems have building repair issues all the time especially toilets. Sales manager my need an assistant as never available nor is on floor sales but ladies are Uber friendly and allways assists. Good trainer portfolio

again virigin active does not surprise me. club manager lies. I said I would join but told them I might be moving for work. ended up having to move have not spend one minute in there gym he said he would cancel my contract been 4 months now and its. still active.they just debit and that's it terrible service from these gyms again so disappointed and then get calls constantly from the collects department and I have to explain over and over again. I'm starting to get annoyed. I defiantly will never join a virgin active and won't recommend it to anyone

The best virgin active I have ever been visited before, with a variety of training equipment and we'll setup, Wow ❤️

Clean facilities, friendly staff, Kauai restaurant inside. No power for treadmills when there's load shedding, but they do have non electrified walkers, which are more difficult and too hard for me.

A gym of this caliber should have contingency plans in place to handle such situations and minimize the impact on members' experience.On a positive note, the gym itself appeared well-maintained and equipped with a range of fitness machines and equipment. However, the lack of hot water in the showers was a significant drawback that overshadowed these positives.I hope that Virgin Active Gym Cedar Square takes this feedback into consideration and implements measures to address the issue of hot water availability during periods of load shedding. Members should not have to endure uncomfortable conditions after a workout, especially when they are paying for a premium gym experience.In summary, my experience at Virgin Active Gym Cedar Square was marred by the absence of hot water in the showers. While external factors like load shedding may contribute to this issue, the lack of backup solutions was disappointing. As a result, I left the gym feeling unsatisfied and inconvenienced. I hope the management takes proactive steps to ensure that members' comfort and satisfaction are prioritized in the future.

There is no reformer Pilates which is very disappointing. The equipment is so limited. New machines need to be brought in.
