One of my favorite routes up the mountain…and well marked. We met at 7 am to catch the morning breezes and avoid the direct sun till we came through the V near the top. There’s a side trail on top that leads to the “Diving Board” rock outcrop for your Instagram moment.

A big hike. The original cable car was located non Kasteelspoort, used to transport rock up to the dams for the walls.

About 80 minutes from start to the top of Table Mountain. The diving board is only 10 minutes from there. Beautiful hike. +-1.5 hours to the cableway from there (if you know your way around the top).

Nice hike up the Table Mountain - take enough water, snacks and a jacket as it can get cold/windy quite quickly! Plan for 3 - 4.5 hours to reach the upper cable car

Walking the pipe track with my son to the woody ravine. Starts off going uphill a bit. But gradually gets easier. Views are insane, with the mountain on one side, and the view of the ocean to the other. The task can go as far as the 12 apostles, but we turned at the ravine. A must walk for anyone looking for insanely good views. A bit for unfit hikers though. Track quite dog friendly.

Very challenging, inclined and the decent too. But very enjoyable. Quite safe, not really any risky areas to worry about

A really incredible hike with friends. We missed the kasteelsport starting point but then took the pipe track all the way through wrapping around the mountain for a relatively steep ascent. It was breathtakingly beautiful and the hike was moderate. I recommend going in the morning in the cool of the shade. Took about 3 hours in total to climb and descend from Table Mountain. The hike is mostly easy with a climb at the end that is tough but manageable in intervals. Beautiful views, incredible mountain, highly recommended.

This route is very pleasant. It has a great view of the ocean and lots of flora. The path is more on the easy side of Table Mountain routes while still giving a great experience plus it is much less crowded than Platteklip Gorge. If I come here I usually go up Kasteelpoort and down Woody ravine.

Quick hike, accessible from plenty of routes on the mountain. Not much shade cover. Medium difficulty. There’s a flat rock that’s perfect for taking photos. The hike length is about 50 minutes from the start of the pipe track without stops.
