Ocean Basket Mall of Africa
Ocean basket is always a pleasure to go to. I usually order the Platter for 1 or 2 or the bite of the ocean but this time around I tried out the sushi. I must say I was impressed with the salmon favorites, it was absolutely nice. I especially like the deep fried pieces in there. Will definitely recommend it and as always I had the watermelon cooler which is always a delight.

I would not recommend that you waste your time on even walking into this restaurant. Yesterday, after a very long and stressful day and week, I just wanted to order a meal and relax before I went home. Got there and the waiter wanted us to sit at a certain table, there was another table that I wanted to sit at as it was more private. I asked the waiter if we could sit there, but she ignored us. The other waiter saw what she did and he asked if would like to sit at the table that we preferred and we said yes. We moved to that table and the first waiter came to us and asked if the other waiter said we could sit there. We said yes. The lady clearly was not happy, but she took our drinks order and left. The next minute both the waiters came to our table and asked us what happened and if he told us to sit there, we said no. He asked if we would like to sit there as he heard us and we were thankful, because he actually listened to our request. Just then the waiters got into a fight and they called the manager, who was very rude and said: Can you see I am busy with other clients!" We decided to stand up and leave the restaurant and ended up at Spur

A very nice atmosphere from very well mannered staff. Love eating here. Been coming to this place for a long time and would recommend it for anyone who loves ocean food. Also they have fantastic tasting cocktails. There is a new desert menu that I have just seen. Easy 5 Star.

I went in for supper today. The restaurant was fairly busy and this resulted in the food being a bit delayed.While we waited, our waitor brought out some table breads with some condiments. The bread was not really fresh and could tell it was just microwaved a bitFor my main meal, I had the bite of the ocean. Which comes with a side and I chose the panko zucchini. The meal came with a piece of hake, 3 prawns and some calamari. The food was mediocre as I have had better. The fish still had some bones in it which made it a bit difficult to eat. The prawns were really nice bur could have used more lemon butter sauce but this is a personal preference.

Ocean Basket Mall of Africa
Fantastic experience with some delicious seafood cooked to perfection. I love the special prawns meal and you never go wrong with the squid heads. Meze platter was enough to share for two and had a bit of everything. I really love the decorations and the staff. Great location, delicious food and perfect for spending time with others. Only downside is that it gets quite hot inside during summer.
