Brenton Bushbuck Lodge

We stayed 2 nights at one of the most well equipped self catering accommodation. 2 bedrooms - both ensuite- perfect for 2 couples traveling. Brenton Bushbuck Lodge is tucked away in a nature reserve. For us it is exactly what we love - close to nature and not too far off the beaten track. Esmé and Julie were fantastic hosts, keeping us up to date with the ever changing load shedding schedule. The lodge is equipped with an inverter to power up lights, TV and WiFi and a little gas stove so load shedding wasn't too much of a nuisance. This is one of the most well equipped places we have stayed in. Being downstairs, it did get a bit dark as a lot of natural light gets blocked out. We loved the beautiful scenic walk down the road and thoroughly enjoyed the Brenton on Sea surrounding - such a beautiful, well kept town. After a struggle with the washing / drying machine, because it was a bit fancy for me, we managed to do our laundry which was a bonus. We felt very safe in the surroundings.The Butterfly Blu restaurant - within a 5 minute drive, is a wonderful option for sun downers and dinners.We highly recommend this lodge and would definitely go back for a stay, if possible, a longer stay.

This is definitely a complete house from your own.The owners are friendly,the invironment is just to awesome for words.The stay is better than a five star hotel.I will use Bushbuck lodge again.My family enjoyed every moment of it.Thank you for your hospitality.

Perfect place and best stay of our 2 weeks trip+ full equipped kitchen and even BBQ place with coal etc.+ good location with amazing sunset spot around the house+ very very nice hostsCouldn't be better.

Esme' and Julie are the most amazing, caring, accommodating and wonderful hosts ever! They went over and beyond in assisting us from enquiries with booking fishing charters to helping us sort out an issue with our vehicle.The unit is exceptionally well equipped with tremendous attention to detail. Chocolates on the pillows and chilled wine was well received after a long trip. The expresso coffee machine with ample pods was great a great start to each day.The quality of the beds and bedding are excellent !Squawk, the resident parrot is adorable and kept us entertained daily.Brenton on Sea is a beautiful and tranquil with breathtaking views from Fisherman's walk.We highly recommend this establishment if you are considering visiting Knysna.We will most definitely be back !Reddy Family from Gauteng

My family and I had a tremendous experience in the Bushbuck Lodge.Our host welcomed us with a smile and showed us the beautiful accommodation.Everything you could ever need was present as well as a lovely gift of wine, ciabatta and cheese assortments.The area is just superb and you will definitely find yourself wanting t stay longer.A must visit.

Our stay at Bushbuck Lodge was a magnificent one. The house is cosy but spacious and the extra special touches by the owners from chocolates to games, books and even wine, they wanted the stay to be as comfortable as possible and that it was! Esme even took the time to take us on a walk to see the pathway to use down to a private beach. What a lovely activity a few steps away! And better yet, they kindly recommended Nautical South, a pub down the road which we visited and received sterling service! The food was was pretty decent too and so well priced. I cannot fault the place one bit. Making our way back to Bushbuck Lodge's serene environment with crystals at a water feature really added a beautiful element to the stay. I would recommend Bushbock Lodge to couples, families and even friends! It's everything in one at an affordable rate. What are you waiting for?!

This is more than home away from home! The attention to comfort is fantastic. Lovely water fountain to listen to while sitting outside in the beautiful garden. Esmé is the perfect host. I will definately be coming back. Thank you.

The Accommodation is fantastic everything was in the house and more plus ...beds are so comfortable with the added touch of lindt chocs and lavender sprigs . I can highly recommend to anyone wanting to stay here it's heaven on earth... plus you couldn't ask for lovelier hosts who went out of their way to ensure our stay was fabulous .Will definitely return to Brenton bushbuck lodge soon .thanks again Ave Pat and Gg.
