Knoetzie beach is always beautiful. I have grown up there. BUT ... the road from the N2 is appallingly bad. Be warned.

Knoetsie is a hidden gem. The road here can be a bit off putting as you leave the national road and pass through a slum. But after a couple of hundred meters the slum gives way to pine plantations and forests. The road is a bit rough in places. The beach is surrounded by stone castles and cottages.

This is a hidden haven. Natural and unspoilt. Life guards on duty. Clean and non polluted.  Not crowded and relaxing. Water is moderate temperature and sage for swimming. Amazing views and breathtaking stretch of the beach. A definite must stop on the Garden Route. Please note that a 4km gravel route has to be taken to get to this beach but it's all worth it.

Well, that was a formidable climb back to the car... Those steps must be equal to climbing a pyramid, but I imagine it must be MORE worth it than even that. It's one of the most beautiful beaches I've ever had the pleasure of experiencing. Thanks for sharing, Noetzie royals!

Wanted to give this beautiful place more stars but unfortunately the access down to the beach and back again isn’t in a good space..Please Cape Tourism do something that gives respect and does justice to this unique place!

The most amazing beach in my opinion. Hidden below 130 odd steps this beach is stunning for everybody. Don't forgot to take your food down with you.

Beautiful, clean & secluded beach. Road there runs through a informal settlement near the N2. Further down we had a fairly good gravel road that was being graded (scraped) as we drove it. Quite a steep decline with exactly 134 steps running down to the beach.

Its a very long walk with steep and uneven steps for an average beach. Toilets are in a bad condition (Bring your own toilet paper!)

Awesome secluded little beach, some pretty rough waves but chilling on the beach is always an option. Surrounded by the tropical Montane forest of knysna on one side and the ocean on the other, who could ask for much better
