There is only one word that can explain the stay at Glen afric Lodge, IT'S BEAUTIFUL!! and the staff was very friendly and the rooms was great, our stay was absolutely wonderful the food at the restaurant was great as well as the breakfast.will absolutely visit again.

Glen Afric Country Lodge
I went here recently to go see the elephants, it was honestly one of the most amazing moments of my life! All the staff were so lovely and friendly. We spent around half an hour with the elephants getting photos, feeding and stroking them! We were in a group of ten but it didn’t feel crowded and we all got so much opportunity to be close to the elephants. They all look so happy and very well looked after, I would recommend this to anyone!

We had breakfast only. This rating is not pertaining to the rooming. The breakfast was over priced in my opinion and the tomato my husband dished had a large rotten patch when he sat at the table that he noticed. Breakfast was cheap but not worth it. If I'm driving to Harties for breakfast I'd rather pay double and have more variety that's fresh. Beautiful location though!

Restaurant review. We spent the night in the lodge but had to go to bed hungry as the food was sub standard. My husband had to request for a sharper knife to cut the T bone steak but the steak was simply too tough to cut. My burger patty had the texture of rubber.

We went for the mother's day buffet and the organisation of the whole event could have been better. A bit disappointed for the price we paid.

Wanted to book a trip to Glen Afric Lodge this March (2023). So they sent me the contact information from Shane, who is in charge of organizing such tours. When I contacted him the last couple of days, he was very late in answering. And suddenly, he didn’t answer anymore … Pretty lame and not service-oriented!It seems to be that they don’t want to make business at all… Or maybe only at cost of the animals! Unfortunately can’t recommend it :-(

From the moment we arrived at the gate, the security guy questioned our reason for the visit and when I asked him why all the questions, his attitude changed. Finally we got to the restaurant for lunch. Although the buffet had a wide variety and was well laid out, the room in which the buffet was laid out was too small and we had to wait in line because of the number of people eating at the same time. The food was also average... Overall not quite what we expected, however a three star for the overall experience

Our family went to Glen Afric for the Sunday buffet. We received friendly service and the buffet was top notch. The children really enjoyed feeding the elephants. We will definitely return to Glen Afric.

Absolutely beautiful place!! Saw some stunning wild life, cheetah, Lion, elephant and antelopes. Stunning trails and all so close to Johannesburg. Quick drive there and then you almost can't believe you are just outside the city.
