I ordered via phone. When I arrived I found out that they only make the order once you pay in-store. I only found this out because another customer asked. No one informed me. My steak gatsby was lacking in flavour. I truly had better expectations from my previous visit

I haven't been at Golden Dish in Athlone in many years,until my daughter and I stopped for a Masala Steak Gatsby.She had some unknown(to me) sauce added with cheese..to this Gatsby..but OMW OMW..(AND I AM NOT A GATSBY PERSON.)..Did I enjoy this Gatsby..the variety of quick in and out nibbles to choose from..I then ordered some jalapeño samosas whilst waiting for the Gatsby..and My OH MY..NEED I SAY MORE..POP IN AT GOLDEN DISH for those whonhasnt been yet..and ENJOY A VARIETY.OF FOODS AND QUICK BITES..FOR TRUE INDIAN DAILY FOODS CUISINE.. ANY GATHERING -EVENTS OR PARTIES..GOLDEN DISH IS AT YOUR SERVICE

Lovely people running the restaurant. Very kind and generously taking their tine to explain it to us. Let us try their famous sauce and meals, value for money is amazing, quality good and service friendly. Definitely can recommend. Full size Gatsby is enough for 2-3 people.

What a sham! We heard about this place on the radio,made it sound great,dont waste your time! No menu or posters with prices or menus ,Was not told a gatsby would take about 49minutes to make...stood their waiting like a fool and to top it off the chips on the gatsby was raw!! Dont believe the hype....really not worth R380 for two gatsby's!!

To pay a certain amount for a Gatsby you would expect it to be filled with chips, but this is truely not the case as I ordered two boerewors Gatsby's today 27 January @ about 6.30pm. Gatsby's are massed produced but the amount of chips on it is truelly not suffice.I think this was a let down for me really.

Ordered the full house masala steak toasted sandwich. Sandwich was delicious with a good flavored steak and chips together with cucumber and lettuce. Judging by the amount of constant customers this location is popular and the gatsby seems to be most popular. Service is something that needs to be improved on as people behind the counter serve customers who frequent the establishment.

The full house masala steak gatsby was phenomenal the steak was tender and just the right amount of salt - a lot of tenure takeaway tend to lose the quality over the years golden dish had been there before I was born and it’s quality is still as they say ( boonster rakke) Shukran katheer❤️

Delicious food but too many chopped bones in the lamb curry and lamb roti, plus the wait is too long for a take out. Next time, I will allow more time, and shop around in village while waiting because it’s worth the time.

Bought a full house steak sandwich , not a 5 star for me anymore , their quality has dropped tremendously , also my number was 126 , I went to ask the guy if he called my number yet , he said no and said i must stand one side , for him to double check and gave my food to me cold .... their attitude is like they don't need u , u need them .... I mean I smaak a lekker full house from golden dish to get not such kwaai service and their sandwich I could've made better ... But that's what u get these days ...
