Extremely happy with my watch repair. Really know what they doing.

Good selection of NATO straps. Service was very slow at first, but only because the staff was dealing with some old woman who was Karen-ing about something or other. After that, service was good and attentive.

Nice ballie when he wants to be but extremely blunt . Just spend alot of money then gets annoyed with answering questions... but this is definitely watch strap haven... just demand 30% discount as everything is highly marked up.

A hidden Cape Town gem, an 'original' and a 'classic.' great, professional repair or maintenance service by the old Greek gentleman proprietor and his assistant. Lovely selection of modern and classic watches, too. Highly recommended.

I chose Savvas from the review ---what an awful experience !! The owner/watchmaker was not feeling well so i was very kind and tolerant.He said he could fix watch and i phoned 3 days later and they said it was ready. Arrived at 8 am and although he said he would be open he was closed so i waited from 8 to 9.15 to open - watch hadnt repaired saying it was un-repairable and tried instead to sell me another watch --- when he saw i was'nt interested he was then so rude and dismissive . i took un-repaired watch away and and the other watch where he fixed strap --- i discovered strap was far to loose --so back i went (R15.00) Parking i paid each time -- he said he was busy and would'nt accept watch and said come back another day -i asked if he could just mark size on strap and in his leisure reduce strap that should of been done in begining and he refused . So i left with both unfinished watches .I took them to Clive’s workshop at pick n pay Centre sea point and he had repaired watch sorted all out stra for me at price of R135.00 --what a pleasure.It was a really unpleasant experience!

This is a small business with a passionate owner. I drive 40 km to have my watches serviced. If he is not to busy, and I can wait, I can grab a coffee at a few coffee shops across the way.

Be cautious servicing precious watches here. My Omega came back with a fresh small dent in the gold, and Mr Savvas carelessly dropped it on the floor in front of me without apology. The watches are transported in bulk in a thin plastic bag. He refused to examine the dent, saying his watchmaker hadn't dented a watch in twelve years. Not pleased with the attitude and care taken. I understand this may be a confined incident, but it bears mention. Savvas is, however, a good place to buy watch straps at more reasonable prices, and have the battery replaced in a simple quartz movement.

Love this place! I come here often for mechanical watch repairs and accessories. The people are very friendly and helpful. They also made a custom leather strap for one of my watches.

This man doesn't know how to repair watches. Uses poor quality parts too. And his shop has a creepy vibe, always trying to take money from me when I'm there.

Left my 9 year old perfectly working Citizen diving watch there to change the glass because of scratches.It’s a 100 m waterproof watchGot it back had a shower with it and water got in.Went to a real watchmaker who told me the glad used is not Citizens neither were the seals changed. It was clear for him that with this job it will not be waterproof anymore.The watch never worked again because of this.The guy at Savvas is cheater of note.
