We were handed forms to fill which we did in 5 minutes, we waited 45 minutes to an hour and the lady pretended as if she wasn’t seeing us. This is a tactic to use to waste time so that they can come back and say “sorry we are about to close”. A complete waste of time and extremely poor service from this team.

I’ve never had issues with my I products before purchasing my macbook pro 2020 model and iPhone 12 mini from Brooklyn iStore. My macbook had a flex cable issue 3 months ago that was fixed and now the display needs to replaced, I bought the item for R23 000, 2 years later I have to replace, in apples words “a faulty” screen/display because it keeps shutting down which will now cost me R13 000 to fix. This is robbery. How can a faulty product be my fault? I’ve never messed anything on it, it wasn’t a power surge, never banged or dropped it…My phone glitches most of the time and heats up super fast. But mostly I would like for for apple to take responsibility for a faulty product which is the macbook.

I would honestly give a zero star if I could. In the past few years I have reached out and visited this branch many times. I have tried to buy Phones, a mac book, apple watches and now most recently an iPad Air. Every single time I enquire about any of your items I am met with the same response, “We don’t have it in stock”. How do you make money when you never have stock of your own items? It’s ridiculous. You’ve made me travel to Johannesburg on multiple occasions to buy any apple product. I have no idea why you are stil trying to provide any type of service.

This appears to be a common problem at all I-stores. I had exactly the same experience at Woodlands. No sales representative’s available to meet, greet or assist you with a simple transaction like purchasing an additional cable. Customers stand around and the few sales representatives there are simple ignore you. Perhaps I-Store should consider employing a representative just to handle simple transactions like purchasing of accessories. .

Can understand power outages and store being closed. Can't understand why the young lady putting the closed sign up thought it's ok to laugh at us standing outside

I have had a few bad experiences with this branch. They are frequently closed due to power outages or other reasons. Since you can't call in there is no way to know until you are there. So not reliable regarding their hours online. And if one finds them open it's more often than not very difficult to get someone to help you. Either the waiting list is full and they ask you to come back another day, or you have to wander around the store until someone eventually comes over to help you.I also got a new contract with them via Telkom. They then forgot to give me my sim card for my contract. When I went back they denied it and suggested that I must have lost it somewhere, but they definitely didn't include the sim card with the package. I almost immediately opened the bag outside the store and saw it was missing. I had to go to telkom to do a sim-swap.They also made a mistake with my banking details! They sent the wrong details to Telkom which in turn couldn't subtract the debit order. It took me a few months to sort this out. Telkom asks a penalty fee for late debit orders. They eventually admitted this mistake without apologising. In conclusion, I wouldn't recommend this specific branch. Rather go to Menlyn. If you have to go to the Brooklyn branch, go early mornings during the week, because you are probably not going to get help during the weekends.

Istore and their products are really pathetic, bought MacBook air a year and a half ago and the screen start showing lines,no physical damage, switched it on in the morning and then there was lines on the screen. Can't take it to the mall in witbank, as the nearest istore is in Pretoria. Can only get my device looked at with a booking, appointment tried to book menlyn ,fully booked, only Brooklyn Mall available for Saturday. Upon arrival 15 minutes in advance ,was told I must wait exact until 10 as per appointment. When I handed the macbook to the service consultant, I was told macbook only gets a 1 year warrany and it's past the time. I was handed an ipad to complete the details, and was told to deposit R600 deposit and have to wait 4-7 days. So now my question is,a R14000 product last a year and 3 months,no apple store close by ,have to drive 300km return trip with an appointment, only to drop off a laptop, have to wait 4-7 days ,drive another 300km return trip again and cough up one hell of a lot of money as you pay for the apple brand, what kind of nonsense is this. So much for apple brand superiority. Stay away from apple products and stores, they are only there to milk you for money and just become more rich. No dents on the macbook, or any scratches, looks brand new,and they also had the audacity to ask if I dropped it. Also now I wonder what surprise I'm gonna get after the assessment to pay in. I'll rather buy samsung or Microsoft products
