Long waiting times, it probably best to schedule an appointment when You need to come here, as with the Covid, there will be some extra Delays. This place didn't accept much visitation and even appointments were rare. So I'm sure with the lock down levels being relaxed, now more people will be allowed in. However, please be aware, you will spend some time here. It could be an hour or more. So just bring a nice nook with to read, or make sure you bring a power bank with incase your phone doesn't have much power. As there's no places to charge your devices and once You've inside, it's not easy to go out again, and the toilets are on the level below this floor. So You would have to sign in again if You're coming back in to the building

Have tried to be in touch with them through out lockdown. No one ever answers the phone. I went in person and wasn't allowed to speak to anyone to set up a meeting. I was told to leave my details and someone will contact me. It's been about 3 months since then.

Understanding Process will enable us to have peace of mind when dealing with the Family Advocate office. This is my third experience and it was as professional as the first two cases.A magistrate appoints the Family Advocate office for further investigation. The family advocate office then responds to the magistrate with their intention to investigate and the dates scheduled for meetings. It is the parties involved responsibility to make sure that the contact information on record is up-to-date. If all is well a notification will be sent to the parties with the necessary information to proceed with dispute resolution. All communication after the initial meeting is done via email and the Advocate dealing with the case responds promptly.

Next level useless. I have been calling without answer and emailing for months. I am waiting for a report from the social worker and advocate since July 2022. They never answer and if they do they take a message to call back that just never gets returned. They do not even have the decency to reply to my lawyer. All I want is to get the report which is completed! I have been trying to get divorced since 2020 and am beyond frustrated. Stay far away.
