Raaswater Langebaan

Slightly dated. But the view and setting makes up for it. So close to the water its like you on a boat.

To many repairs. Shower had no pressure no matter what time you showered. Ceiling was leaking at front door. Kitchen was basic and basin was leaking (this they came to fix). Front door and lounge glass window kept banging, with it being windy as neither is properly fitted.No dishwash liquid and 1 toilet roll for our 4 day stay, for 4 people. When asked, no response was given.Apartment felt dirty and dusty.Apartment was basic and would have been great if it wasn't for all the above. The place needs a complete revamp to make it a pleasurable stay.Location is the only thing this accommodation has going.Nicole was friendly and helpful.We were overcharged and owner says it's Booking.com fault but no assistance by owner to correct charge. There are no direct contact details for Booking.com to query this either.I will think twice before Booking again on Booking.com and won't revisit Raaswater either.

I have mixed feelings about this review. We stayed at Tesra, a 1-bed, 4-sleeper unit. I'd give it a 3* for the lack of maintaining the place. But 6* for the location and absolutely beautiful views. The kitchenette has minimal utensils, but enough to prepare a meal. It has a small 2-plate countertop stove that looks unsafe to use as it's so rusty. There's a fridge with a very small freezer. The fridge is missing shelves, so everything rests on the bottom drawer. The microwave is small but functional. There was a kettle and toaster and eating utensils for 4. The Weber skottelbraai" on the veranda needs to be deep cleaned or replaced. Very rusty. Aside from that
