Observation deck

It is one of the best view point in Knysna city and area. It is a good tourist attraction. This view point has a gorgous view for Knysna central, waterfront, Thesen island, Leisure island, and Knysna lagoon. It is best to come to this viewpoint on the afternoon of a sunny day especially if the sky is clear and no fogs. It has many chair to sit and enjoy the nice view. Don't forget your camera.

This is a must see view point. There are great views in all directions, particularly when the visibility is clear. Spectacular photos of the vistas can be taken from the toposcope.

Hubby & I went to Fish On The River for the first time this Saturday evening. What a wonderful experience. We were welcomed by such friendly staff who talked us through the menu, told us what the catch of the day was. We were given blankets to wrap ourselves in because its chilly now during winter, it was very cozy. Such a great atmosphere, decent music playing (also not to loud that you have to shout to have a convo). The view of the river is just stunning. The food was delicious, and the portions were really good. We would 100% recommend Fish On The River.

Beautiful views

I am quite a fussy individual. wow!.... if you want the best seafood, or just food in general, I highly recommend this place.We ordered in their non conforming manner, and the food came out in stages due to gas bottles having yo be changed, kinda rattled my cage a bit as 3 out of a party of 5 had almost finished their meals by the time the other two came. The manager (?) Took the time to come out and explain the situation. When the food came, it erased all grumbles I had.The portions are generous and fresh, the flavors are something you have to experience and decide for yourself.

VERY hard to get to view point by car, but very nice views from high up once there. Most likely you will be all alone at this spot

I had an amazing experience at Fish on the River, a restaurant situated on the banks of the river near Port Shepstone. The atmosphere was great - the restaurant was clean and organised, and the staff were friendly and welcoming. The prices were also very reasonable, which is always a plus.Although on this occasion we only stopped in for some drinks, I have visited the restaurant before and had the best fish I have ever tasted! It was cooked to perfection and had just the right seasoning. I would definitely recommend the seafood dishes, as they are simply amazing.What's more, there is plenty to do at Fish on the River! Whether you want to take a walk along the river banks, try your hand at fishing, or simply sit back and relax in the beautiful surroundings, this place has it all. There is something for everyone, making it the perfect spot for a family outing or a romantic evening out.Overall, I would highly recommend Fish on the River to anyone looking for an enjoyable and affordable dining experience. Definitely worth a visit to discover more of what this hidden gem has to offer!

Really well maintained love walking to the toposcope and you can walk further for a better view of the town which is magical!So clean as well and the parking area is very nice !Love this place and a definite walk to check it all out!
