Groote Schuur Hospital
Groote Schuur Hospital nurses and staff as as poor as ever. Thinking that they do sick people a favour when the opposite is true. Although the place is over-crowded as expected from a government hospital it does not mean you get to treat patients like animals, because you are not doing it fore free. It's your job and you get paid for it. But the surgeons and doctors are genuinely helpful unlike the nursing staff at the place. Well done to for their good work.

This is a great hospital but I've just been disappointed this afternoon as i paid a visit to a patient. Only to be told the visiting hours has been changed without any notice. Without respect some people had to ask for permission from their workplaces and given probably 30 minutes. You arrive at 2 only to hear that visiting has been changed to 3 o'clock. Even the person you are visiting isn't aware of such changes. I'm so disappointed.

Amazing stuff.Well organized.Polite and very patient Doctors.The Doctors it's actually their calling from God. They do everything wholeheartedly. Wonderful.The hospital is clean.Everything there is in order from the outside security to the stuff inside.Amazing work. I brought my mother for her appointment unfortunately they can't find her folder then duplicate was done while looking for a folder, the optometrist that was assisting us 30minutes later ask if it possible to go and get a folder in D4 apparently they have found the folder; really I'm not a messenger. Appointment was scheduled for 08h30 but we came early I'm still waiting in waiting area for a folder.

While your patient treatment is excellent it is a nightmare to track a patient after admission. I was just listening to my wife's phone call, trying to track her mother, who suffers of dementia and was admitted at trauma yesterday for a medical condition. She has been sent from Pontius to Pilate speaking to at least 8 people; all referring her to a next person. While she remained calm I could sense the frustration and helplessness in her voice. Can you please improve in this area.

Probably the best public hospital in South Africa...Clean, extremely good Doctors and well run. Other public hospitals can learn alot from GSH...It's nearly as good as a private hospital

Pleasantly surprised with the E ward section of the Hospital while visiting my uncle. It was beautifully decorated and clean. The staff was professional and helpful. Security measures are in place on entering the Hospital. Note you can strictly visit during visiting hours 3-4pm and 7-8pm only.

I have recently had an eye operation at GSH. I can not thank the doctors and the hospital enough. The doctors are kind and talk nicely to the patients. The best tratment ever. The hospital is spotlessly clean. THANK YOU SOOOO MUCH.

Groote Schuur Hospital
I have to Congratulate Groote Schuur Hospital Staff, they are amazing. A special note to the Porters who have such a strenuous job, they are so polite and very professional. The Emergency staff are also fantastic and the Doctor who is the Head of the emergency department ( I don't know his name) is just brilliant.
