Good food, but the place can get very busy & you have to wait for service especially paying, needs another cashier

Simple and tasty, different to what you would usually find in CPT. Recommend if you want to try Indian sweets and their Dosa is amazing!

I was really looking forward to having some authentic Indian foods and delights.I popped in to buy a few snacks. The food looked very tasty and was presented well. I felt a familiar happiness with the scents and sights, as I was missing Indian foods after spending many years in Durban. The food was tasty and nice, but what made the experience very annoying was that I was charged R55 for 2x bhurfee and 4x gulab jamun. That spoiled the experience completely - as I am sure I was intentionally overcharged. The display items do not have any pricing tags. I believe this was pure opportunism and very short sighted. My invoice also indicated:1 Hot Food General R55 for the Bhurfee and Gulab Jamun. What could have been a very pleasant experience was spoilt completely. So short-sighted in the age of social media and public sharing. The staff member was Bhadresh Patel.

It was a wonderful experience at Shayona's in Rylands. Firstly, they have a huge variety of different foods I grew up eating as a child. Not a spicy variety, but extremely flavourful and well-prepared. I had chole bature, dokla, bhaigun and aloo, pilaf, dhall, puri patha, roti, suji ka halwa and a lot more (and I am too lazy to provide English meanings - but that's good because if you Google these, you're in for a treat!) One doesn't even know what to choose, and one simply (and sadly) cannot choose it all.
