Intercare Northriding

Moved to Bellaires last year. It's now 21h39. I'm recovering nicely at home. For the second I received amazing care. Different doctors but same quality personal care. They listen to patients. Communication is in medicine is key. You are not rushed for the next patient and there is mutual respect from front desk, nurse to the attending GP. Knowledgeable even on trends around the area. What to watch out for. I'm pleased with this medical centre. GPs are not specialists therefore communication is always the key.

Charging us a second consultation after being poorly advised by the so called GP???I called their accounts department yesterday to make it very clear that she will not be paying a second consultation fee.The reasoning behind this:- On our first visitation to the Dr, we paid a consultation of R500.00 ; the Drs poor advise was that Melanie has an infection in her belly button. He then prescribed a double dose of antibiotics, which the patient has to pay for.- She then returned for a follow up on the Monday as requested by the GP. She also asked the GP if it could not perhaps be a hernia where he clearly stated that no, it is not a hernia.- The pain did not ease and she therefor went back for a third visit. Prior to the visit, the receptionist confirmed that there again will not be any charges. She was however charged another consultation after not even seeing the Dr for 5 minutes. After she left his rooms, he gave her a call suggesting an ultrasound, querying a completely different problem.She then went for the ultrasound only to find that she does have an umbilical hernia- they had to admit her and immediately do an operation as this was now life threatening.Due to the Drs poor advise and knowledge Melanie now has incurred further medical costs as he could’ve advised her to go for the Ultrasound right from the first visit. Thus again, there will be no payment for a second consultation.What a shame to our health care system.

Dr Zondo is literally the best. Managed to treat my baby and I. Was very gentle and accommodating to my little one. Definitely recommend her any day.

I have visited Intercare Northriding on two occassions with my 5 year old last year. I was assisted by Dr. Govender and Dr N Mukendi. My little one LOVES going to the dentist and taking care of her teeth because of these two ladies. I highly recommend paying them a visit if you are looking for a dental practitioner for your little one. The practice Manager Nayoka is AMAZING and she went over and above to ensure our experience was amazing. Super friendly, super professional staff!

Horrible experience, in the last week of July 2022 I called this place asked several questions before I booked my appointments. I asked if they take medical aid and the front desk advised I will only get coverage for dental and then I asked if they charge discovery rates and she said yes. I booked 3 appointments. 2 dental for myself and 2yr old and a medical one for myself. Not only we were so rushed but that must be the most painful dental appointment I have ever had. The cleaning was so painful and the tooth that she worked on is now painful affecting 3 other teeth next to it and below teeth on my lower jaw. Mind you when I went in there I had zero pain. All my teeth now are extremely sensitive to tap water cannot even enjoy a cup of coffee like I used. Oh not to forget the lady who serviced us noted there was no appointment for my 2yr old. Dr pillay is one of the worst dentists I have endured and I want to know now what recourse do I have as she damaged my teeth even the tooth she worked on is still feeling like a foreign object in my mouth. After I concluded my appointments I was told by front desk that discovery won't pay and when I checked the claims i was not charged discovery rates as i was advised now my dental funds are depleted and I am being told I have to pay an exorbitant co-payment. Does anyone know who do I contact to report this trickery??....I feel deceive and swindled and my teeth are worse off than they were. Thank my ancestors she did not touch my 2yr old. I am extremely disappointed and will never do business with them again. Oh and the script i got for medical, discovery won't cover it as well because of the doctor....not sure what that means...am so disheartened by this experience....apparently Dr pillay resigned which would explain why I got such appalling services/ she just bad! Never again!

I cannot recommend Dr. Du Plessis highly enough. He is a wonderful dentist, professional, considerate, his practice is spotless. He is completely up-to-date with all the latest dentistry.

The staff are friendly and I'm happy with the treatment I received, the doctor was very caring.

I had to look for an appointment for an unexpected Dentist visit for my daughter, being a Friday night I though I would battle. I found Intercare - booked online, completed the form & had confirmation within 30 minutes for the Saturday morning. Great service, friendly staff & can highly recommend this facility
