Heidiland Horseback Adventures

As a family we really enjoyed the ride with Nadine. She was excellent and her horses are well behaved. Whether experienced or a novice like myself you will have a pleasant experience with beautiful sights as a bonus.

Owner was very accommodating. We had an almost one year old baby and she was carrying the baby whilst mom could enjoy the experience.I didn't have cash on me and she trusted me to pay via EFT when I have a chance - you don't find that everyday and it shows that she loves what she does.. getting paid for it is secondary.It's an experience my family and friends will always cherish, thanks Nadine!!

My first time horseback riding couldn't have gone better! Friendly hosts, beautiful calm horses, great trail and amazing views.Would definitely recommend Heidiland Horseback Adventures to anyone!

First time horseback riding and it was amazing, Klara and Heidi beautiful horses they were very kind to me and my wife lol, but the views were awesome and beautiful. Nadine very nice host aswell and her partner. If you find yourself in Montague please go and get on some horses here you won't regret it!

Had the most beautiful outride through the Karoo at Heidiland. Everyone (including the horses) at Heidiland is very welcoming and friendly. Wish I can go there every weekend.

I booked a 90 minute horse riding slot for my daughter. She enjoyed it so much and want to do it again when we are in the area. The rates are really good and the horses are well behaved.

Terrible experience that ended in disaster. Nadine led our group with an inexperienced horse that was still being trained - this should have been the first warning, because the most experienced horse should always be in front. Second warning sign: Nadine was beating and screaming at her horse, which clearly did not want to be mounted or on the trail. And then disaster struck halfway through the ride when finally Nadine’s horse had had enough of the beatings, and bucked to throw her off, before bolting. All the horses bolted throwing me and my children off. We then had to pick ourselves up and walk back to our car through the heat before 24 hours spent in emergency rooms and thousands of rands on scans, x-rays, and doctor’s fees. Not even so much as a message from Nadine to see if we were OK. This was a nightmare and could’ve been avoided - which is what you should do with this outfit. Avoid. Save yourself from a ruined holiday or worse. I have barely been able to get out of bed for three days. Fortunately my injuries are not serious, and my children are OK, but it would be irresponsible not to warn others. Stay. Away. Rather find a stable with trained horses and staff who are not abusive and know what they are doing.
