Cashbuild

Went to check the prices last week and went to buy yesterday, to find the price have increased with more than R100 for a window frame. 2nd my mastercard had problems & was advised that they don't take American Express???? Even Shoprite takes Amex!!!

Found what I was looking for at a very good price. Quite a variety of building products

Surprised they still in business. Dont expect service. Waited 20 min ( 4 customers in the shop) and was ignored. I always give shops a second chance but not much difference in service. Rather go elsewhere.

Went into the store on the 1st May with my husband to get paint and primer, paid for it and other things as it was confirmed that they have stock, waited over 25 mins after paying with no explanation as to what needs to happen, the cashier just told us to stand there they coming" only to have them come back to tell us they mismatched colour paints and labels our paint is out of stock

Wish there was a -1 star.Staff are the worst ever, it's like you bothering them, will not go there ever again....their attitude is just kak, useless bunch.....

The 3 star rating is not to say it was bad experience. The store can do better (i.e. cashier walked off my ID to photocopy with no explanation, had to ask why. Also no clarity on how the copy will be stored/kept safe)...simple improvements. But great store.

Well, they have it all, either for renovating or for building, everything is available there.Their staff give good assistance, their prices are competitive, they parking space for the cars are safe as is also safe inside the shop.They used to have best prices on cement.One of the best Cash build.

Fairly good service though, I think, they can do better.Quickly needed some Mixer washers while doing a Project around the corner in Lombardy East, recently - at the height of the third wave of Covid19 in the province - and only one Till was working, resulting in an unacceptably a long queue and, consequently, long waiting time! Really? We can do better than that.

I've purchased a lot of build material from a lot of places and I've never received such bad service as at this Cashbuild. I purchased some ceiling boards, Cornish and glue on a Friday and asked them to deliver on the Monday. Firstly I just fell out of the free delivery zone which is not a problem but when I pay for a service I expect that I receive a good service. I got my contractor to be at my place on the Monday as no one else would be there. My contractor went to Cashbuild early on the Monday morning and they advised that the tack is on route and will deliver. The afternoon we call again as nothing has been delivered. Once again they advised that the truck is out and the stuff will be delivered that day. 17:00 the Monday evening I got home and found that the stuff has still not been delivered. I had to pay my contractor for the day for doing nothing. At 19:00 I assumed that they will not deliver that day. The next day my contractor went to Cashbuild again to check if the stuff will be delivered that day (Tuesday) they advised that the truck was out for delivery. Then I got a very rude call that the delivery truck was at my gate and we need to be there now so he can deliver. I told him he had to wait as my contractor is now on his way from Cashbuild which will take at most 10 minutes. The driver told me in a very unprofessional manger that he will not wait for more than 5 minutes. (This after we waited the whole of Monday for him). The stuff was delivered. I can't remember we I has such a bad experience with a supplier. Long story short - I will never purchase anything at Cashbuild ever again.
