Olive Stone Farm Cottages

Loved our stay at Olive Stone Farm. Rustic but very comfortable, beautiful design and a total feeling of calm. We stayed in our cottage all day, relaxing by the plunge pool and enjoying the mountain view as well as the farm animals wandering past. The fresh eggs in our kitchen from the resident hens was a lovely touch. Thanks to Wanda and team for a great stay.

Definitely recommend staying here for Montagu! The space was beautiful and staying on the olive farm made it feel very cozy. It was short walking distance to all the restaurants and shops and communication was great with Wanda. 5 stars!

What an incredible place to relax and unwind! The attention to detail is incredible and makes the space feel like a home away from home. Wanda is such a friendly host who goes out of her way to ensure our stay was as comfortable as possible. Not to mention the location makes it a great launching point to explore Montagu. Would highly recommend a stay to anyone passing through.

Olive Stone Farm is beautifully located in the heart of the town of Montagu in the Western Cape. And even though you are on a farm, it doesn’t feel like you’re in the town. It is owned by Elaine and Andrew, who are thee most incredible and hands-on hosts. There are only 3 cottages on the property, and the cottages are secluded enough that you don’t ever see the other guests. The accommodation is incredible and includes a plunge pool among its perks. Elaine & Andrew go over and above the hospitality norm, to please and provide a great experience for their guests, and it’s a comfort as a guest. Olive Stone Farm is truly a really incredible place to stay, with a spectacular view of the Montagu mountain ranges beyond the property’s beautiful olive trees. I would definitely return, and give this place 5-stars!

What a great place! The cottages are so comfortable and well appointed with great amenities. Also the hospitality is lovely. You can pick herbs and veg from their garden or buy lamb chops and eggs from the owners. We didnt even intend to braai but the kitchen was so well equipped that we had everything we needed. I felt really really relaxed and recharged after a weekend here.

Olive Stone Farm was our second destination during our honeymoon and it definitely exceeded all of our expectations! The cottage was beautiful and equipped with everything that we needed to make our stay comfortable and memorable. The peaceful atmosphere combined with the breathtaking beauty of the mountains were exactly what we needed to rest. The farm is walking distance from lovely restaurants, art galleries and other attractions. We were sad to leave as we loved every moment of our stay but will definitely come again in the future!

We had a wonderful winter stay at Olive Stone Farm. The cottages are set up perfectly for a couples getaway. Wanda is a very friendly and welcoming host.We were always warm and comfortable because there is a gas heater, electric blankets and hot water bottles.Not even Stage 6 load shedding could dampen our spirits. There are candles and solar lights to keep the darkness at bay.The kitchen setup is also great. Wanda even provides foil and cling wrap - supplies that are rarely available at a self catering cottage. We were supplied with delicious rusks, fresh farm milk and eggs. The local Spar is walking distance from the farm.Wanda goes the extra mile which makes Olive Stone Farm the perfect place to visit! We will be back!

We stayed only one night, but what an amazing cottage, tucked in the olive groves, truly unique in every sense. Super quaint, elegant, comfortable, loved the stylish decor details. Super inspiring. Outdoor shower another bonus. And lovely private. We had a rainy day, the owners had lit the little woodburning fire place in advance so it was so welcoming and romantic. Highly recommended and we'll definately come back to this little Gem and stay longer next time. Location very central, we walked to 22 on Church restaurant (best in town!), so we did not need to worry about drink and driving.

We loved our stay at Olive Stone. Everything was perfect and every detail thought out. The cottages are lovely enough to spend all your time inside, but Montagu town is not to be missed. Cottages are close to hiking trails and town. Can recommend staying here!
