I cant rave enough about this place.Where to start? We stayed at Farm House and because it is exclusive use only, we had a blast because it was just us (a group of friends).The suites were all stunning and private...and the shower was perfect. The beds were super comfortable and I slept like a rock.The food...oh the food. The lady who was our chef was fantastic. Her food was so delicious and her plating was gorgeous.We also had our own private butler and he was the ultimate in courtesy. We were always welcomed with a smile from the man and no request was too big or too small for him to personally take care of.The lodge manager was there constantly as well, overseeing everything and she was all smiles. In the evening, she and the game ranger would tell us stories from what happened when they were in the bush. It was magical.Our game ranger was awesome. Because it was just us on the vehicle, we could dictate how when and where we wanted to go. We ended up following two male lions the entire day (with a quick lunch stop back at the lodge) and they didn't do much other than go from point a to b, but it was stunning to just follow these majestic cats.The lodge also insisted on giving us a surprise...which ended up being an amazing dinner in the bush.Really, this place is pricey, but really worth it.

First and foremost, the people who run this place are amazing. It's simply a beautiful house, service is top notch as is the food, and the safaris are totally delightful.

We just wrapped up our stay at Morukuru Family - Owners House in Madikwe and words simply don’t do it justice. The attention to detail and care from the staff is second to none, and this is a safari experience unlike any other. That’s because the lodge is 100% private to your group. From the dedicated Morukuru team to the private game drives with the most knowledgeable, friendly, and talented drivers and trackers…just stop your research and book the Owners House at Morukuru already!We came for four nights as part of our honeymoon and our expectations were exceeded from start to finish. Our wonderful management couple duo of Paige and Dean were truly top notch, as was the food from chef Aaron, drinks and service from butler Evanz, incredible housekeeping with personal touches from Maggy, and flawless back of house management from Kgotomso.If you want to stay in a big multi-group lodge and share game drives and meals with others, then this might not be the place for you. But honestly, why do that when you can have a team 100% focused on you, operating everything around your schedule!? 5+ stars out of 5.

Our stay here was brilliant. We’re a family of 4 with 2 girls (6 and 3) and we absolutely loved it. Personal safari to do whatever meets the families needs (we saw all the animals on our list). Top notch guides who know all about the Madikwe reserve. Personal chef who’s so experienced and makes the best impala :) Also ensures the kids are happy and makes catered food for them. We stayed at the owners house which is very clean and well kept. Nice furniture/ beds. Games for the kids during downtime. Snacks and drinks for the family whenever you need (even during safari). Surprises for the family and kids all along the way (eg gifts for kids, Easter bunny came during our stay over Easter). No thinking to do as you also have a manager that helps plan each day and coordinate staff/activities to ensure family is happy. Def recommend staying a night out in the ‘tree house’. Our girls loved hanging out with everyone when we got back from safaris, but we also had complete privacy. Soo much to do and so much fun we had. Thanks for the best memories Morukuru!!!! We miss you!
