Sadly really battling to get the stock we paid for from them. We ordered (and paid for) 40 bags on the 6th of September - and dropped off our own material. We've only been able to uplift 12 completed bags as of today's date. We cannot get a response as to when we'll be able to collect the balance of the order - or uplift our stock and get a refund. Really sad to say this, as I'd hoped we'd found a great supplier we could send all our sewing requirements to - but far from it.

I had a very bad experience. Gave in four curtains for shortening. Upon getting it from them, they've asked for a cash payment.When back home, I found that two curtains were shortened according to the correct measurements, another one was longer than the first two and they didn't touch the fourth one.My husband phoned them and they offered to pay back half of the money into his bank account. More than a month later no payment was made, only promises.Their excuse about damage by a previous tailor is simply not true and we already called regarding a remedy, which they did not comply to.

Such friendly lady, learnt so much.

Three years ago, I had a meeting with a man that introduced himself to me as Tokkie - a Zimbabwian resident, and the owner of Tokkie & Toffie Tailors - at his home and factory in La Montagne, Pretoria. I gave him an overview of what I wanted. He said that he would be able to source the fabric and make the samples that i wanted, within four days. The same day, I received a message from Tokkie, with his banking details, asking me to pay the deposit the same day, as it was a long weekend, and he wanted to buy the fabric on Friday, work over the weekend, and finish my samples by the Monday (4 days). I paid the deposit, but couldn't get hold of Tokkie the Monday or the rest of the week. Eventually I drove to his house again, but were told that Tokkie was not there. I asked the person at his house to call Tokkie, and when I spoke to Tokkie, he had a lot of excuses, telling me that he received a huge order from Levi, and had to finish that before he could start with my samples. After a month of phoning Tokkie every week, he said that my samples were ready, and that he would deliver it to me that day, and asked me my address. I gave him my address and sent him a location pin. He never delivered my order. I waited in vain for him. A werk later, I went to his house again and asked my money, patterns and material samples back. He insulted and threatened me. He said he knows where i lived, and since then, i lived in fear. I tried to report it to Garsfontein and Silverton Police Stations, but they said they could not help me (although my life has been threatened) and advised me to take it up with a lawyer. I contacted a lawyer, but the lawyer said that many small clothing manufacturers does that. They use one client's money to buy fabric for the previous client's order. The lawyer advised me not to pursue the case further. It is now three years later, and I never got my goods or my money back from Toffie and Tokkie Tailors.

Dropped off two aviator hairs to upholster with leather. Paid up front and was told 3 days. After 3 days could not get hold of them. Then my reception kept calling and eventually Collins promised 14days. After 14days they called to let me know they still don't have the leather.. said they will send samples again the same day by photos.Still waiting with empty promises.. Want my money back. Avoid. Been two months now and still nothing. This is a scamming business. Don't make any payments upfront. You will lose every cent.

As a beginner, i was very nervous about starting this course but Rachael has been very patient and her explaination has been very helpful. Her attention to details is very impressive and i have learn so much over 8 days. I feel confident in my pattern and sewing skills as i start my new journey.
