A lot of historical facts for just a few hours of wondering through time into some dark spaces. If you are going to tick the box then leave your self two to three hours but if you going to live out what it was like then give your self a day. It was crazy to walk through and feel what they did back then.

The place is so beautiful and the people in there are so lovely and professional. The president of the place Dineo is so humbled and amazing. They are so kind. The courses are very good and can change people. I am loving it and am going to do more courses.Best place to be. I like the Motto, 'SOMETHING CAN BE DONE ABOUT IT. WOOOW.Every problem have solution. Just need more knowledge to understand solutions. I loved the place."

One of the best places to stay and most beautiful beach on the planet! Not only is the Castle beautifully restored and tastefully decorated but the staff is amazing! So welcoming and friendly - they make you want to stay longer! You go there for the luxury and beauty of the Castle and nature, you want to stay because of the people.

A great display of cultural history of cape town. Many well preserved articals of history and guided tour around the establishment. Loads of renovations and restorations happening so very excited to see some more of what the castle has to offer

This was really cool to see. Very strategic castle to defend the beautiful Cape Town. Lots of displays and a guided tour is not neccesary as they have lots of informative boards near each display. The cool thing was the sun watch located in the quarter. Its almost acurate...off with about an hour but we could call that day light savings time. This was my first time visiting and we definitely enjoyed it. The only reason I am giving the castle 3 stars is because of the homeless people sleeping right there on the lawn of this beautiful international tourist attraction. Covid caused quite a harm to the economy but my opinion is that the homeless people will cause more harm to the tourism of Cape Town. Maybe the castle could speak to the city to remove these people. If we don't allow them to chose the castle as a home they will know to look for another option. These people love with a mentality of nothing to lose so everything is worth a shot. I strongly suggest getting an urgency indealing with this matter. Local friends told us whilst we were visiting in Cape Town that pre Covid the castle used to have a beautiful lawn outside and I am sure we could restore that beauty to this world class city.

This is a difficult review.The building/premises is definitely something to see. It is just an absolute abundance of class, luxury, and delight.Now the service, or rather, the lack thereof. Feel sorry for the staff, very much under capacity.Quality of food was acceptable to above average, prices are decent.Just the service, which will eventually close the restuarant if not addressed with urgency.

Such a great place! We learnt so much about the history of the Dutch East India company. Our tour guide was really really great. We also stopped at the café for coffee & Cape Malay Koesisters which were divine!!if you love history don’t miss this place!

From the moment you enter the gates you are transported to an Era of medievil royalty. The furnishings and decor has been exquisitely picked to create the atmosphere. The hotel rooms are neat, clean and beautifully decorated. Staff and hostesses are friendly, attentive and helpful.The wedding and function areas are absolutely amazing.

Steep slippery walk down and up again.Don't forget anything in the car because you want want to go back down again. Beautiful views secluded beach amazing photos.
