The best restaurant in Knysna. Their food is exceptional and the owner and staff is extremely friendly. Beautiful view and setting. I would definitely recommend them!! Well done!

Amazing place facing the Indian Ocean with lots of food options to choose from. From ambiance to staff, everything here’s just perfect. Highly recommended when you’re in Knysna and looking for some delicious food. They do have Indian options also.

This restaurant has one of the most spectacular views ever!Winter Friday Special today : delicious ox tail with glass of wine R125 - cannot beat that value!!!Something different on special every day. Well worth checking out.

Such a beautiful view over the sea. The Long Island cocktail had a bit too much tequila, throwing the balance off a bit. However, the service was good and all the staff were super friendly.

First time visit. Such professional and friendly service. Food is amazing and my husband said best fish he ever ate. Views spectacular. Can't wait to go back tomorrow again.

Thoroughly enjoyed Butterfly Blu. It was raining and cold when we were there - the fire was going and we were given some cosy blankets. A beautiful restaurant and the food was delicious. Hubby had their stew of the day - I think it was osso buco. The pizzas were great. Stunning sea views. Service was excellent - the staff go out of their way to make sure you have a fantastic time. Look out for their dinner specials. Will definitely come back here again.

Butterfly Blu Restaurant
Beautiful view over the ocean. There was a large variety on the menu to eat including vegan, vegetarian and gluten-free options. Their small pizzas are not small at all. We sat and enjoyed the pizzas and gin while watching the view. My only concern was that the gluten-free cake was served with a gluten wafer and bar one chocolate sauce. Besides for that was an really excellent afternoon.

To use one word to describe this is wow! You have to sit by the windows to get the full experience. This was the highlight for me.I ordered some cocktails and I enjoyed them and they don't skimp on the alcohol. I ordered mussels for dinner and they were delicious.Definitely worth coming here. Come for the sunsets and the food.It can get busy, so worthwhile to call ahead and book a table

Beautiful. Well thought out modern space. The food is good to excellent. They pride themselves on their pizza. I think the staff should be doing more to sell the pizza story. One of our group ordered a vegan pizza. I'm not vegan inclined but I must say it was the best meal of the group. That included a rib eye (terrific), kingklip (really good) and a salad (yes please).Butterfly Blue is for everyone!
