We stayed in the cottage and it was a beautiful setup with everything you would need for a comfortable stay. Peter is a great host

I wish I could give this guest house a better rating however the experience was not great.The positives:1. Beautiful rustic landscape2. Peace and serenity3. Far from the maddening crowd4. Stunning sunsetThe home however is in desperate need of TLC. The deal breaker was that we were not informed that the area is prone to long periods of no electricity so we did not go adequately prepared. We did not have electricity for the entire period of our stay, could not warm up our food, no candles, matches, etc were provided. The host left an energy saver light on the outside table late at night without informing us. The cottage was desperately hot - and the windows could not be opened because of the insects and mosquitoes. An uncomfortable stay.

We stayed in the 2 bedroom suite.Full of character, with all the upcycling to create the unusual art works having being done by the owner, Peter.Lovely open plan kitchen/dining area/lounge with an open fireplace.Kitchen well equipped.Comfortable, clean bedrooms, each en-suite (shower).Peaceful with lovely clear night sky.Pet friendly.We intend going back again, and I can truly recommend this guesthouse.

Good value for money. Nice and spacious room and living area. Nice and quit to stay overnight or even for a few days to explore the area.

Aloe Guest House has an old farm feel to it and it felt like we were alone out in the Karoo with beautiful views of the Swartberg mountains and the olive groves next to us. It was very well equipped in the kitchen, bedroom and bathroom.The one thing they could have is more torches and candles as we has a power outage after a thunderstorm.It is dog friendly which is why we chose it. It is a 5 to 10 minutes walk and 2min drive into town. A wonderful stay and will certainly be back to explore more of Prince Albert and the Swartberg mountains.

We had an awesome stay. Lovely interesting art works in the garden. Quiet at night and the stars looked great. I would have given it a 5 stars but I found that in a house that sleeps 5 people there were only 2 wine glasses, 3 cups for coffee and 2 water glasses. Besides that ..it was a perfect stay.

Cottage we stayed in was comfortable and cosy with air conditioning and fire place for the cold winters.Kitchenette small but with so many good eateries in town, no real.need to cook.Braai place.Stoep with beautiful views.Host is friendly.

The Aloe Guest House was wonderful! We stayed in the small cottage (one double bed, one twin) and everything was excellent. The location is on the outskirts of Prince Albert, which meant it was quiet and peaceful. At night, the views of the stars from the porch were exquisite! The bed was comfortable, and the shower provided a wonderful pressure. The kitchen was well equipped, had we chosen to cook for ourselves. Our host was friendly and quick to respond to any and all questions. This was a lovely place to stay in Prince Albert.

Very rustic, farm feel. Basic, nothing extravagant. Fine for a quick overnight stay at a good price.
