Getting my leather shoes from Europe repaired - what a mission! Not anymore, Tamar Bag & Shoe Repair did an outstanding job, shoes like new and worth another 5 years of happy wearing. You obviously know your craft!!! I actually hid my great grandmothers jewellery in one of my boots (thought that might be a safe place, while moving to the Mother City...) and forgot all about it. Thanks for the owners honesty, I got it all back! Thank you very, very much!!!

The most amazing service and repair from Patrick at Tamar bag and shoes repair. I had a pair of ancient but loved boots that needed to be resoled and have serious reconstruction work done to the welt, midsole, and insole. I was very apprehensive as a barksole branch I went to before did such a terrible job far outside my request I was afraid to try again. But even from my first phone call, and then visit to the shop to discuss and hand them over Patrick was extremely knowledgeable and professional, talking through sole and repair options and listening when I spoke or asked questions.The repair took a bit longer than I wanted but understandable as it was busy season and a lot of work. Patrick returned the boots finished with top quality materials, and repaired excellently according to the original construction methods. I recommend his services unreservedly

It's very difficult to go to a shoe repair business closer to me than Tamar's in Plumstead because Tamar has consistently repaired my precious shoes so well over the years and once again today I received my repaired heeled sandals in excellent condition and for little cost compared to the skill and quality of the workmanship. Oustanding! Tamar (not Braxton) have been fixing my shoes, luggage and bags since 2009. Designer Heels for Stage Performances repaired and strengthened, even to the point of having to reconstruct the shoe to restitch by hand to the sole. Luggage repaired with handcrafted leather patches to match design and to improve durability is just some of the work I have had done. As Performance Artsist touring internationally Tamar's service has been invaluable. Good quality at a reasonalble price with neighbourhood familiarity and charm.
