I was a bit concerned by some of these reviews. But David did exactly what he promised (made a custom grid) and I only have positive things to say about the service, value and quality. Highly recommend!!!!

Wish i had read these reviews on time, paid him for a braai 2 weeks later and has still not been delivered. Dont understand how he is still in business. Pathetic service. Please do not support this business.

We had David come out and to do our gas COC as we were selling our house and he did the installation of our hob and gas braai. The COC was completed and issued which we then paid for them. A couple of weeks went by and we then requested the original COC to provide it to the new owners. David eventually supplied us a hardcopy of COC which was issued in the incorrect name and it looked like it had been edited from a previous COC.We had another service provider issue a COC they found that David had missed some issues that had to be rectified in order for the COC to be complaint.I would strongly recommend not using David or Braai and Fireplace man for any services offered by them. They have been proven to be unreliable and I offered David the opportunity to rectify the problem but he cared not do so and continuously came up with poor excuses as to why it can't be done.Also not that David works through a third party to issue COCs whom I contacted to query the state of the COC. The third party offered to come and perform a new COC but we had already used another supplied to perform the COC as the house was about to transfer and further delays could not be afforded.To this day David has not refunded us or apologised. Braai and Frieplace Man had plenty of opportunities over 2 months to rectify the issue but choose to repeatedly play for time. We were forced to use another supplier as the house was about to lodge for transfer and we could no longer wait.All I can say is STAY AWAY!!!

had the unfortunate experience of dealing with this con artist ...he makes lots of promises , then fails to deliver on them .adds questionable extras to his quote in what i can assume is an attempt to overcharge and rip you off .then when questioned about the lack of delivery service he gets abusive and swears at you and then hangs up so you have little option on what to do ... i will never deal with hi again and can do nothing about it , but i feel its my duty to warn others about his disgusting treatment of customers , maybe only pay once everything is 100% completed , i made the mistake of paying upfront , maybe thats why he didnt care !

TERRIBLE SERVICE AND COMPANY !!! after reading all of the negative comments on this company i thought how bad could it be ? i have been nothing but patient with this person and company for a simple rotisserie that did not fit together , i returned it waited weeks for the replacement picked up the replacement the same say it arrived at the store , tried to put it together and it still wouldn't work , i had three people all try to assemble and all were to afraid to strip the threads , i returned the complete package AND FOUND ANOTHER OUTLET TO BUY A ROTISERIE THAT ACTUALY WORKS. Two weeks after returning the unit, and following up on the refund which never came i received a message to say that miraculously the rotisserie is fixed and that no refund would be paid , after telling him that i made other arrangements and have found one that works , he refuses to refund me. there will probably be a reply to this with some excuse from the owner , but ultimately i strongly suggest you approach this company at with extreme caution.

Absolute terrible service. Requested pricing on 22 January, after which a David Hargreaves responded to ask where delivery should take place. I responded, also stating we are able to collect. Never heard from him again, even after sending a follow-up e-mail on 24 January.

I must be at the wrong place as i have had nothing but friendly helpful service.

BE VERY CAREFUL. Absolute racist conman. Left my braai stand to be checked for what repairs and parts were required and he commenced with work and when I had explicitly stated that I wanted to know what needed to be done and how much it would cost, when I came to enquire about why he commenced with repairs without approval, he came up with lies of how I gave approval, then was incredibly aggressive and swore at me furiously when all I had done was address him so politely. He then proceeded to throw my braai stand onto the ground and damaged it. Very disappointed in his terrible conduct. STAY AWAY! He's absolutely frightening.

Contacted David to come and have a look at my chef braai on 30 November 2021 as the one burner did not work,sent address detail etc.Did not heard from him again.According to him he is the only repair agent for Chef braai's in Gauteng and therefore contacted him again on 31 March 2022.Came to fix the braai on Saturday and charged me R 900.00 to clean one jet in less than 30 minutes .Pls make sure you get a detailed quote before using this company,I will never use them again
