The staff are really helpful, I always try and avoid government institutions as far and wide as possible. but i went there on Friday to collect my PDP and renew vehicle license. the whole process was just 10 minutes max.

The traffic department is not only the offices. The traffic officers working the streets don't have any way of getting acknowledged. My wife had a bad experience with a drunken driver bumping into her car. Traffic officers were quick, efficient and considerate. They caught the runaway perpetrator and were sorting out multiple accidents all at the same time. The only reason for not giving 5 stars is that the traffic department is not controlling the taxis who are causing havoc with their blatant disregards for traffic rules and other drivers.

It was time to renew my driver's license. I made my eye test appointment on the Stellenbosch municipality app. Arrived on the day at the appointed time, completed my form and waited in the eye test facility room. By the time all was done and paid for, only 40 minutes had passed. I am so impressed. Everyone was very friendly, efficient and helpful. The bathroom was also spotless!

Went to renew my license. Stood a while in the line only to find out they are now setting appointments. Can’t even get an appointment in the next 6 weeks.Was told their eye test machines were broken for more than a week and still not fixed!Good use of our tax payer money! Usual excuses in play!Decided to drive to Durbanville, was completed and out within 15 minutes!

They are very poor we queued more than 4 hours afterward they tell us that they will help people who made appointments online the question was why you didn't tell us early in the morning. Best traffic department is Durbanville

Having lived a life of governmental department MEGA-queues in Joburg we were absolutely blown away by the cleanliness, speed of service and care while we renewed our drivers licenses.We were in and out of the building within an hour. The eye tester is very friendly and compassionate and the cashier is thorough and quick.Thank you for renewing our faith in government facilities. Keep up the fantastic work!

Oh my word! What a difference since the COVID regulations have been lifted! I was in and out within 10 minutes! (Vehicle license renewal)I didn't receive an SMS, so I had to fill out the forms, but even so, the whole thing took me less than 10 minutes. (I went on a Thursday at around 11am.)The staff was friendly and helpful.Well done, Stellenbosch Traffic Department! You have upped your game!
