I was helped by a cashier called Pamela, Shoprite must take this lady to a very serious customer care course or dispose her. She has no clue what customer service is, neither does she know what respect is. I hope her supervisors took care of her. My rating is based on my experience and the second star is for the response I received from the supervisor.

Why these stores are still in existence, I don't know. The only reason that I can think of is that there is such poverty in South Africa that people will acept this kind of thing.I have had food poisoning from this store so many times I don't know why I still buy there (It's down the road from where I stay). I have seen food that isn't fit for pig's swill marked down. It is actually rotten, but it is for sale. There is a system for marked down goods which eans that each time the cashier rings up, she has to shout for a 'password.' The client can then wait five of ten minutes while someone comes to put in a password. As things are marked down at the end of each day, this means many people have marked down items, and the queues take forever.I've often seen cockroaches on the floor, and while I understand that this is Sea Point, this is a food store. Something should be done about it.

I visit the store almost daily for freshly baked bread, by Uncle Joe. Store is well stocked with a large variety compared to PnP up the road, and goods are well priced. CusoCust service is good, as one does not queue for long by the tills. The Manager, Lungiswa is excellent, and consistently run the store's front end of superbly! She pays attention to detail, respects her team and renders high quality cusotmer service. I commend also the security staff, Ngcamu & Nkinki, who not only have a watchful eye, but underderstand customer service of greeting back.

Checkers Rondebosch is charging R149.90 per kg on garlic which is advertised as R129.90 per kg.I mentioned this to a manager early this week who said he would address it. Today, Sunday, there was no change.Spoke to a manager about it ( appeared to be same person) and he told me to sort it out at the till!!Shoddy service.!!!And overcharging unsuspecting consumers.

No longer a Shoprite. It is now a Checkers. Unable to understand why! Name change exterior signage, minimal interior changes but the same indifferent service. Possibly something afoot that is not revealed yet. There is major revamping at both interior and exterior happening presently. Changes taking place very similar to the Point store. Floor space to be increased.

I don't like shopping at shoprite that much especially Sea Point. Firstly, parking is the biggest issue, Secondly, the shopright staff in sea point are very rude and un professional. I have reported some staffs to their management due to how they respond to customers. Anyways, I stay very close to them and can use them in an urgent situation or else, there is a lot shoprite can improve on.
