Midwest Caravan Park St Helena Bay

A great caravan park right on the shores especially if the wind isn't blowing. Ablutions are spacious and spotless. Beautiful views over the Atlantic. Managers are very helpful too.

Beautiful campsite for an on the beach brekkie. Quiet and relaxing. Clean bathrooms with copious hot water.

A wired fence with hedge like trees create the perimeter of the camp, situated practically on the beach in St, Helena Bay approx. 170 kilometers from Cape Town, down the R27 (Westcoast) road.The camp stands allows tents, caravans, camp trailers and in my case a rigged out van to occupy a stand at a cost of R250 per night for the 1st four people thereafter R50 per extra person, with the max. Being 6 allowed per site.The ground is sandy but not too hard to drive in tent pegs, so take along a tarp if you do not want sand all over your camp stuff. All sites have electric for convenience and most stands have trees for shade.The lovely safe for swimming beach is accessible through a gate in the front fence facing the beach, the water is coldish but totally awesome to swim in on a hot Summer's day, the beach goes for miles for leisurely walks.Safety is not an issue, but caution is always recommended no matter where you holiday, locally or elsewhere. Ablution facilities are neat and clean with enough hot water for a reasonable shower, toilet paper is provided.Onsite one can purchase ice and firewood at a reasonable price, shops and other conveniences are just up the road, Ok Minimarts and Spar , also curios, pubs and delis close by.Midwest campsite is highly recommended by me, as I spent a few days there, especially if you like water activities.Great value for money in a small town setting with friendly folk all around, as only the Westcoast can deliver.

A great park with direct access to the beach. Very friendly accommodating management staff. Safe with ultra clean ablutions which is old but functional. Affordable midweek pensioners tariffs. Central to all the nearby “tourist attractions”. One of the well maintained parks.

Fantastic little campsite!! Reinette are doiing well to keep all well and the ablusitions very neat!! We will definatily do another camp!! Well done Midvest!!

A lovely campsite next to the beach. One of a very few safe beach front spots around. The campsite is fenced and gates are locked at night.A large storm hit the area while we were camping here. This site is fairly protected against the wind due to thelocation.

Great small caravan park with direct beach access and clean ablutions . Seen lots of whales in the bay the whole week we camped here. Definitely the best park on the West Coast

Quite, peaceful. Safe, a walk away from the ocean..... Kom tot Rus cottage at Midwest, St Helena Bay is a must for anyone with children....you can watch them playing in the water while enjoying your cocktails/braai. Spar store just down the road for all your daily needs.

Great place to camp, right on the beach. The ablution facilities are spotless. Will definitely go again.
