Best place for paragliding pilots with own landing site and perfect sunsets.Enjoyed the company of like-minded people and the legendary dinner of Terina.The steaks are fabulous!

Great place to stay for a paragliding trip in South Africa/Porterville.They have rooms and bunk-beds to rent with a adequate breakfast.Further they offer a safety briefing for first time visitors and supply daily a weather-forcast, beside that you can also make use of their shuttle service to the take-offs aswell as a retrieve-service.The joined diners in the evening are not to be missed, exceptional quality.Most ot the time you will be in bed late as the sunset-view from the back-garden is wonderfull and there are always interesting people around to share a nice conversation.

Very nice staff. The rooms are clean. A/C works and the pool is a welcome refreshment after a long day of paragliding.

Great place, very comfortable and the staff is absolutely delightful. I warmly recommend it, especially for all paragliders that want to fly in the area!

Great place to rest your body after a long day's paragliding the awesome sites in the area.The pool is a life saver in the hot summer days and the staff are friendly, helpful and knowledgeable on the general area, flying sites and xc potential for the day. The bar and the kitchen staff are a rate treat and so is the food presented. Always a pleasure to stay here with a bonus of a well estbliahed international and local pilot patronship.. see ya all again soon !!!!

Excellent accommodation close to good paragliding launches near the town, modern annex accommodation with spacious room with tea - coffee and most importantly WiFi. A breakfast buffet is provided and you have the option for dinner, there is a bar on site and ample indoor - outdoor seating. For paraglider pilots there is a landing site adjacent to the lodge. There is a laundry service, lifts to launch and retrieves can all be provided as part of the service.

We had a small wedding here today and the food and service was superb!!! If you need a great, safe venue for any small event in Porterville, this is the only place to consider. 5 stars isn't enough. Thank you to the staff once again for all your help.

Flyers Lodge is a quirky, traditionally built, backpacker style guesthouse with the added advantage of 8 modern air-conditioned en-suite rooms for those who like a little more luxury. It boasts a pool, a secluded lawn, a bar and an enormous dining room. The staff are very friendly and the food is always excellent. Set well back from the street in its own secluded grounds, Flyers Lodge has a unique international flavour and a super chilled atmosphere, which makes it one of the coolest venues in town.

As a paraglider pilot, you really can't ask for anything better than this! From the morning weather briefing, the transport to the launch site, through to the evening braai expertly prepared by the head chef Terina, you will feel like you are being really well looked after not only by a roster of highly professional, experienced and dedicated staff, but a close circle of friends you can get up to some serious mischief with!The room was immaculately clean and really well equipped, cosy and spacious. Power sockets that take different plug types, wall safe, air-condition, reading chair and ample desk space were all great touches in creating a comfortable den to recharge your body and equipment after a great day of flying or exploring the breath-taking landscape surrounding the lodge.The communal dining, bar and outdoor seating areas were perfect space to gather and socialise with your fellow pilots and friends. Massive rolled up map and whiteboard for detailed, accurate and concise weather briefing in the morning. Comfortable seating, homey decor and a well stocked bar for evenings of wild tales of past adventures and colourful interpretations of reality (yes, we went there!).The food... Oh my... Do you remember a time when you tasted something so good that it make all your toes curl up and you are hopelessly lost in this state of blissful delirium as your taste palette is bombarded by flavours you have never ever experienced or imagine could possibly exist? There is plenty of that at the Flyer's Lodge! Locally sourced meat and vegetables, freshly prepared with tender care and expert experience and attention. The ostrich braai steak I had was quite sublime. Next time I go, I will need to get some Kudu steak and politely ask Terina to work her magic on it!Overall, my stay at the Lodge was magical. The vibe was so relaxing and did so much healing to the soul. Flyers Lodge has set the bar really high for me and I hope to return soon.
