Update.This steam room has been broken for THREE WEEKS NOW. Each time i ask, you are busy fixing it.We are paying for services you are not offering!The pool has had a broken pump, and leaking whatever for YEARS.Do you think you are providing the services you bill us for. Honestly, the litany of excuses and poor service is quite astounding!PriorI wish this gym could do the little things that would make a difference. The cold pool, never a favorite.3 months after 1st and original post. You closed the pool for 2 weeks to repair the leak.PriorThere is still a leak!! The water is still cold. The bottom of the pool is filthy. Your staff cannot say anything other than - busy working on it.Such a poor show!!

VA will always be my home away from home when training and also as an Ex-employee.The staff are always friendly and helpful. Covid Regulations are in place. Constant cleaning of equipment. 5 stars guys well done. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Gym never has power, always in the dark. It’s either load shedding or a power outage that never seems to get fixed. Managers on duty seem to have a ‘don’t care’ attitude. I’ve also never seen staff cleaning equipment or weight section. Very poor experience from a well established brand in SA.

Given that load shedding has been around for over a decade, it’s about time the gym invested in a generator.Load shedding or no load shedding, aircons are never operational.

Spacious gym with sufficient machine. Has a swimming pool and steam room. Weight area is cramped, so can be crowded during peak.Staff are friendly and welcoming. Love the factor that this gym is not closed off to the outside world. Windows face the pond and nature outside.

Eskom + Gym + Faulty Equipment = 2 hours of wasted time (showers, steam room etc etc just not functional why the price) I can then go jog or cycle in the park at no cost and have a shower at home? Great staff kak gym. Also don’t tell me I can go to another outlet. Same problem and traffic. So much for trying to get fit and back into shape if the gym is harder work than my workout

They only have 1 squat rack. I did raise this with management and national office. But a year later and still only 1 squat rack. :(

Lonehill Virgin Active is awesome. Ray , the manager, is the nicest person i met in a long time, always greet with a smile and always prepared to listen. The environment is wonderful, cardio, it feels like you in a forest, the stretching area is so relaxing, and the lights are awesome, shows everything lumi, not to mention the equipment, everything feels new, the handles and benches are fantastic, everything works, oiled to perfection and even the red matts are cleaner than clean, the people are nice, but not over nice, you have your space.the personal trainers are friendly, always hello" how are you?i have to drive to get there but decided i will share my home gym with Lonehill. just love it.:)"

It’s been almost a month since my partner and I logged a refund of R1030 each. This amount was deducted from our individual accounts twice (once in October & again in November). This is the initial fee to join the gym - please let me know when I’ll receive my money back. Your Lonehill branch has called us once (last week - to explain a system mishap) & said they’d been in touch with more information, I’ve received no feedback. We’ve been to the gym several times now to follow up & nothing. It’s December on Thursday and this initial complaint was made early in November.Further to this , yesterday we received payment. The amount paid into both accounts is R755,33 - where is the rest of our money? You owe us R274,67 each. Please advise when this amount will be paid or do we wait another month?Still waiting for our money. Worst Virgin Active in Sandton.
