College of Magic

Thank you to David and the excellent and inspiring teaching staff. We recommend the college wherever we go.

I attended the Magic Festival here on the weekend and the children I brought here really enjoyed it. I will definitely visit again, however (it may be because it was raining and indoors) the venue for the magic show felt a bit cramped. Either, less people should be allowed to attend or consider using a bigger area for the show. The children were highly entertained though, and thoroughly enjoyed the show as well as the various rooms with closer magic interactions

We had an incredible experience hosted by Stuart full of laughter and bewilderment. A wonderful way to celebrate the year. Thank you College of Magic!

Montessori school took a group of 4/5 year olds for a magic show. Found the old magician to have a bad attirude towards the very well behaved children, , out of touch, and generally unpleasant.. told the kids he is going to cut off their fingers at some point!!! Some started crying..Think it’s time to retire, old manNowhere to buy water/ cold drink..I would not recommend this outing

A walk down memory lane for this kid, having attended the College when it was still in Wynberg. Wonderful place for a birthday party for adults, with a magic show and awesome catering from The Monk's Table. Only drawback was being such a hot day, being indoors was not ideal. They need standing and wall mounted fans in the rooms.The guests were all blown away with Stuart Lightbody's sleight of hand show and the idea of the College, most had not heard of it before.They do great work for youth development and skills training that needs to be encouraged. Spaces for kids to learn confidence, public speaking, how to engage audiences are so vital in today's world.

I was given a friendly chatty welcome. I came to donate some magic books. According to Wikipedia the College of Magic is the only such college in the world. That's amazing. It has an excellent reputation & has trained many young people to be fine magicians.

It was a fun evening celebrating a friend's 5oth Birthday and the venue was College of Magic with the theme of party being a Who Dunnit' " We in our relevant group had to solve a murder and catch the killer! Lots of laughs and fun"
