Moses Kotane Hospital

The security personnel at the hospital are so rude they treat visitors like intruders they don't even care how urgent your visit is. It is like we are visiting inmates in prison which we will help to escape. Where is this two visitor's per patient coming from at this point in time? Covid Regulations have been lifted but they still apply at this hospital. I came all the way from Pretoria to urgently visit my daughter in law to be in labour but I was turned back and only my son and daughter was allowed. Is this humanity? I was so worried because since she has been admitted last night at 22h00 after her contractions started in the morning around 8. She was only able to get an ambulance in her area at night but still nothing is being done to help her. Is this how patients should be treated because they dont pay and what if something happen who should be held responsible.

Best labor ward nurses, the nurse that helped deliver my baby was very nice and understanding. I'm happy with the hospital's services.

This is the closest hospital which is also a government hospital near Sun City Resort....They had less than 20 patients of which some came in at 14h30 and only left at 20h10 ....We arrived at 16h00 and left at 21h00...There was a patient named Benji who was walking up and down the through the hospital....A source who wishes to remain anonymous indicated that he was a regular patient for Psychiatric evaluation but walks freely around in the hospital....The nurse who took my wife's vitals did not rectify her when she referred to him as doctor....My wife later discovered that her file went missing and even though she informed the nurse who took her vitals that she was diabetic nobody checked to see if she was still doing well and whether she needed something to eat so long....The guy who was there from 14h30 came out in a leg cast without crutches because that room was locked and the guy had to hop out of the hospital on the leg and foot that was in the cast....There was also no disabled parking available and I was expected to park in a regular parking bay....I then informed the security that the space was too small for my door to open wide enough....I then decided to park 20 meters from the Casualties / Emergency entrance where I obstructed no other vehicle....There is therefore no Batho Pele at the Moses Kotane Hospital....

Absolutely empty casualty, but hours of waiting time. Excessively rude doctors, when they finally attended to the patient it was a 1 minute procedure, and promptly back to procrastination.

I dont understand, why does the hospital have contact numbers? If they are going to let it ring until it goes off? The stuff seem not understand the importance of communication between the hospital n the patience's family. Especially for those that cannot visit their loved at all times???

I am very very happy with the service at this hospital. To spite the fact that they were very busy the staff treated us with kindness and a caring attitude. It is nice to see that there are still people who care for their fellow man/woman. Yes the process was a bit lengthy but we understand that there are more severe cases than the ones who want imediate attention. I commend the staff for their professionality in their profession and their loyal commitment to Batho Pele well done guys. Truly proud to be South African with service like this.

The Dr's are not friendly at all,so deeming to family members,no humility at all.so disappointing.

I had bad experience today, a patient that had severe symptoms of covid wasn't attend too for 24 hrs and didn't even eat because she is struggling to open her mouth.
