Beautiful decor and okay food. But that’s about it Was having a good night until one of their patrons started with racial slurs against me over a bar stool.I was accused that I think I’m better because I’m with white people”. Needless to say I raised this with the manager on duty at the bar area; he would not have it. I felt targeted and treated differently primarily because of the colour of my skin. When asked logically about their sudden change in decision - they could offer nothing. I will be following up on this…this is 2022 such should not happen in South Africa

Absolutely stunning place. Love my cocktails so was nice to have a very different selection to choose from. Food was mouthwatering and burst with so much flavour. Will definitely be back as they run a special on Monday evenings and then there's Asoka Tuesdays too

Beautiful decor. Thought the music didn’t suit the vibe though. Food was good but nothing to write home about. I’m not a fan of any place that charges for water. Our waitress was great but there was this other lady helping bring food and clear dishes with a very indignant demeanor, speaking harshly, very unnecessary.

Asoka is one of the highest-rated restaurants. However, it did not deliver to that expectation from my experience. We made a reservation at Asoka, and upon arrival, we were ushered to a table that had really low seating, so it was merely stools and a low table so you'd have to hunch while eating. We asked to be moved to a different table as we've made a reservation, but it was none the better except for maybe this time the seats had backrests. I'm not a fan of any restaurant that charges for water to the table, let alone being R60 for a bottle of water. I ordered the butter chicken which was a very small portion as well as the calamari which was also a very small portion. The butter chicken was very sweet, which it shouldn't essentially be. I appreciate the low lighting restaurants but its not ideal when trying to skim the menu where ive had sit with my flash on. The restaurant in itself however is very aesthetic. Not a great experience, very overpriced for the bare minimum.

Definitely one for the books.Aesthetically, this place looks amazing, the jazz nights are an added bit of class to the atmosphere.Food is top notch, even their butter chicken was out of this world.Service is top tier as well as waiters/waitresses are really attentive to their tables.A few cons is the fact that the place is rather small, meaning you'll most probably be seated close to another table. During busy periods you only have your table for a certain period but this is a concept fully understood since it's a busy period and you're allowed to move to the bar area (if there's space)Nonetheless, it's an experience well worth it!

Cool place on Kloof. Nice food, small portions but that leads to the fact that you can enjoy more dishes.Only downfall: tables could only be reserved for one hour on a Tuesday due to high demand. We had to finish our food and drinks in a hurry.. not nice.

A great atmosphere with a stunning selection of the best cocktails in town. It's a great place for dates, or to meet up wit old friends or even to celebrate life. The waiters are super fast, but they could be a little friendlier.

Food was incredible. Drinks were good & ambiance was beautiful! Tree in the center is 180 years old and the building was built around it. Tons of branches and other plants inside. Food pictured from left to right is ostrich filet, butter chicken, then below is grilled prawns and salmon. All were so flavorful and cooked well!
