Smile-Hub Dental Surgery

I am disappointed with how my brother and my cousin were treated at the practice. We called today to make an appointment for next week but were told that there was an opening today at 11:30, they arrived 11:35 and the Dr was behind by an hour but still said he won’t attend them because he was going to church. I mean how unprofessional can one be, they wasted our time. I have had a good service with him before and I referred my brother in good faith. Needless to say we will find another practice to use, what’s upsetting is that he was even rude about it.

I was very disappointed. We called in to find out consultation fee and made an appointment,got there, waited for a very long time and got charged almost triple what we were quoted. Yes, it's medical aid but it's a savings medical aid. We were charged for stuff they did not do, for items did not use and got a quote of almost R7000 to remove a milk tooth with a cavity. I'll never go back there again, I feel transparency is important especially regarding fees.

First time going and the appointment was for my son and I. We never saw the Dr. Instead we were assisted by 1 of the Dr interns and honestly I needed and preferred the Dr's opinion. My son had a follow up THEN only he could be seen by the Dr but he now had a different option to what was suggested by the interns and even how he analyzed the X-ray was different. My question is why are we paying so much to be assisted by intern Dr's especially if when you see the Dr he's going to have a different opinion?I'll go visit another practice where I'll see the Dr first time because what the intern suggested for me shame even laughing makes me continue shop for another practice.The 3 stars are for when we finally saw the Dr. 3rd time visiting the practice because the first time she only analyzed the x-ray! Only that, no cleaning or polishing my son's teeth. And we had to come back only for those things - she was even shocked that she didn't clean his mouth then. No shame, thanks. I'll continue shopping.

First consultation today and I was helped by the most friendly people. From the receptionists, to the lady who took my X-rays even the cleaner. I was then taken into the clinic area by the oral hygienist (the lovely - Katelego) who explained that I will need braces. To start off with I had a deep cleaning by her. My next appointment is in two weeks where I will then see the doctor to get my cavities filled and he will explain the procedure going forward before the braces are put in.Thank you Smile-Hub :)

Bad service ever I got from there on my second time I called to change my appointment and they agreed and say I should be there at 1:30 hence my appointment was on 2 I waited till 2:30 and they told me I can't do it the doctors diary is full they cant take me yes they do see my call on the call log but they can't do anything about it im soannoyed by this place

Dr Essack is very good took my son there I think about a week or 2 ago and he can't stop talking about him.Don't know how I should feel after receiving a call from a receptionist who was so rude on the phone, who even told me I should have said I don't have the money to pay upfront before she made the appointment for my baby, U told her that she was rude and I would have to report her, she said she doesn't care I can do whatever I want.I told my friend about the dentist she also told me she had a similar problem with one of the receptionist...

If you want to waste your time, make a booking! I will never understand sitting for an hour even though you had made an appointment weeks ago. My appointment was for 15:00 and by 16:00 I was still waiting and no one even bothered to apologize or explain. The Dr is very rude. The only person who did a good job and pleasant to deal with was the dental hygienist. Overall Bad experience.

If you wanna waste your time, go there. People are being helped based on skin colour and dress code. Do not recommend it to anyone unless you got the time of the world in your hands and are in awe with discriminatory service delivery.

Decided to make an appointment here after seeing the reviews are highly recommended.Called Saturday 4th May to find out if they had any available appointments and the receptionist sounded so miserable over the phone as if she didn't want to do her job. My partner then said when he got there she was rude and unpleasant with him as well. From what I heard on the phone and what he experienced going here, it seems as if they have a don't care attitude and they not professional at all.Another thing, you have to pay a consultation of R900 just for the dentist to see you and an x-ray not even to do anything? Day light robbery if u ask me!
