Olive Tree Farm

Very relaxing,was so well looked after by Mark.We ordered breakfast from him,he did an amazing job!The suite is very spacious, and evenings on our deck was wonderful.Went for a hike,bit of a climb and many loose stones, so be careful. It is still very dry but we managed to see some buck.We tried to see the goat farm but they no longer take any visitors.

I stayed for 2 nights at family room in late September. Game walk was very exciting and we met giraffes and zebras in the morning. Deers were around the room before sunset.Mark was very good chef and his food were super. We had fillet stake and hamburgers for dinner. His birthday cake for my kids were also excellent.All staffs are friendly and kind.I will recommend this place to my friend.Only one thing to request. Breakfast tastes very good but need more volume.

Do you want to get away from the grind? Hustle and Bustle getting you down?Here is a good option.I have been several times and enjoyed the stay, however, there are other options offering full board, or at least breakfast, at not much more than what they ask.

Olive tree farm is so incredible, but on top of that, the owners & their family are just such divine people. The place is so peaceful, the horses, accommodation and everything in between is just incredible. We will definitely be back. Thank you so much for a wonderful weekend.

Enjoyed a day outing at Olive Tree Farm yesterday had a braai, kids enjoyed the pool and jungle gym and trampoline.The Owners Ash and Andrew are superb hosts with nothing being to much effort and adding a joke on the side as a cherry on top great people to create that extra special vibe to make you feel at home.Super relaxing and beautiful place perfect for that break away from the busy city life.

Ashleigh and her fam are the best! I LOVE the Olive Tree. Got to spend time here and I loved every minute of it. They have this conservatory where you have a 3 km walk and you see all sorts of wild life, Giraffe, Zebra, all sorts of buck, we saw elephants, INCREDIBLE. The owner is super, super, super, super friendly, you will love her. Ashleigh and her cute, lovely daughter, oh lord, the daughter is like my best friend now, she is so cute, so nice, so funny and very entertaining, there was not a minute I was bored. Oh and good news, if ever the power goes out in the area, it does not go down at Ash's place, they have a generator which is cool so to hell with Eskom hahaha. So about the staff and the daughter, the daughter socialised with everyone and the kids of their guests, they swam, took photo's together, what an incredible experience, I mean it was very pleasant to see how welcoming they are. The rooms are beautiful, comfortable and the jacuzzi in the apartment, wow! and the scenery is just the best. You see the magalies mountain range closer and better than you ever could. They have a pool and a braai (barbeque) area overlooking the most beautiful scenery of magalies' mountain and with the company you're getting from Ashleigh and her staff, you will not want to leave. Literally, its like this for us every time we go there. I must say, very refreshing to have someone like Ashleigh taking care of you during your trip there, whatever the reason for your trip may be, she really cares about you and your well being and not just in terms of being a guest" care but you as a person

Lovely for a long weekend away, close enough to JHB and the hosts make you feel welcome as well as having good area knowledge for other activities you may want to do. Various animals to see on your walk/hike. If you have kids they will love it.

There's just so much to say about this amazing place. The scenery is breath takingly beautiful. The accommodation is truly stunning. We were fortunate to have seen the giraffes and zebras. Thank you very much Ash for being such a lovely hostess. Best wishes Andre and Adela.

We booked for a day hike and were greeted bright and early by a very chipper and friendly Ashleigh. She was helpful right from the start of our correspondence. She provided a thorough and informative briefing on the various routes and animals we could see.The hike itself is fairly easy and would be doable for kids (if you can keep them quiet enough to not scare away the animals). The trails were well marked and pristine. Certainly the cleanest hike I’ve done in a while. There are some spectacular views from the two lookout points. I will definitely be returning.
