Great accommodation and always friendly staff, we always come here for work and the restaurant has good food.

Not value for money. Think I was in budget room. Curtains...had to use the blanket to make it darker and to block light out. No teaspoon. Everyone has access to the place, huge safety concern. Will not return or recommend

A perfect place to stay. Close to the airport. Very friendly

1) terrible service in restaurant- took the waitress 20min to attend to.me- food took 40min to arrive- the waitress never returned to check.on drinks and the bill so i had to.keep walking up and down to the.bar area2) received eisbein that was still raw (big.no no for pork and a major health risk )3) zero cell phone reception and horrible wifi4) my room is situated next to the bar and the bar area seems to be the hang out for local party animals. I complained at 9pm with regards to the noise which omly stopped at 11pm once everyome had left.I will not recommend this accommodation to anyone nor would i stay here again untill they uo there standards.

The rooms have single beds only, no full length mirror and there seems to be no proper way of neutralising cigarette odour if a room had been used by a smoking person.Staff demonstrated courtesy.

I did not like the place at all. They need to do fumigation. Someone bumped and scratched my car and there was nothing done about it. The security guy said to my face he can't tell the difference between black kids. I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND them to anyone.

Booking was made by travel agent. Used pillows on bed were white but seems like brown and creased (unacceptable), no hot water and sounds from adjacent rooms clear as staying in backpackers dormitory. This is not accommodation for business people or anybody with expectations. Grading should be one or max two stars. Cannot recommend Woodpeckers to anybody.

We had a great evening watching the rugby on the big screen and it had a great vibe. My T-bone steak was great, my wife enjoyed her fillet but it was more rib eye we think. Will be back though.

The rooms are rustic and clean, the aircons work very well despite some of them being older Box-style wall units. The area is quite enought to be relaxing but close enough that anything you might need is a short drive away. It is also remarkably clean for a thatched roof accomodation. However there are a few issues I would not have expected from a 3 star rated Hotel. The short explination of the TGCSA grading for a 3 star hotel is:Very good quality should be expected at three star establishments. The quality of service, furnishings and guest care must be of a particularly good quality, the onsite representative must be contactable 24/7 and you should be able to order just about anything for breakfast.The electrical outlets need some updating, and the water persure fluctuates RADICALLY.The Bar/Restaurant is open to the public and has quite a few regulars. Keep that in mind if you plan on going out, as you WIll lose your parking spot.For some reason there are no reserved parkings for the guests who are staying at the hotel at conciderable expense. It almost feels like the regular bar patrons seem to take priority.Another thing to note is, if there is any type of event at the venue (weddings or confrances) you will not be able to get the breakfast part of your Bed & Breakfast" package. When we walked to the Restaurant one of the staff members rudely slammed the door shut on my wife and todler. When they walked aro IIund to reception to adress the issue and report it to the Front desk

Absolutely beautiful and clean unit. Friendly staff and an amazing garden.Would highly recommend this place.Best place to stay at in Richards Bay
